A gust of wind makes the note flicker. Stuck onto the stone table through the corner, a rusted dagger sticks out. As you approach the note the wind slows, coming to a stand still once you are before it. You look down at the note and begin to read;

The dusk of the final day has arrived. Your days of so called work are at an end. No longer will this ruin of Asulon be tainted by your presence. The gods shall not smile upon you for your actions here, nor will the mortals of any race. We have watched over your settlement for some time, and we disagree with what has transpired here. The stone calls to us, wishing to be saved from what you have done.

So we come to you with an offer. Flee this land whilst you can. Give this land to us and allow us return it to what it once was. If you comply with this then you may keep your lives. You may keep your belongings. If you do not, then we shall come. Look over the edge once more. If you do not leave, this place will be your grave.

-Signed,

The Ace Of Spades.

A note is placed loftily upon the wall. A small pin sticking it to it's place. A fine ink upon it, and a large wall of writing. The end an ensignia of an eye bursting with red flame, crimson flowing from it. You peer at it upon your next jouruney, curious to what it is.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear 'Ace of Spades'.. To my attention, it has come... I allow you Meadow's Creek, if my possessions can be retained. I shall begin vacating the creek, and begin a move to the Hammerite ruin next to it. If this would be alright with you, I would consider a diplomatic conference between our people's. It would be of good use to have you as an ally, rather then an enemy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So I ask you this, we negotiate peace. If an alliance is settled; I offer full support in wars, and allow two of your ship's to be docked within our new docking area. I do hope you consider our offer with some intent. If you might be curious, I am Lornas Fireeyes. Heir to such things as the isles of Ignus Nomine. And Zorayulm. I thank you for your time in reading this.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Signed. Lornas Fireeyes. First of my name.
As Rhazev walks through Meadows Creek, he spots the note fluttering on the wall. He walks over to it, pulls the pin out and folds the note, placing it into his satchel. He walks into a room of Meadows Creek and takes the note out. It is here he reads it.
...
He steps back and falls onto the bed, pondering his response. For many minutes he stayed in the same position, thinking. Always thinking. As realisation hit him he jolted up, eyes widening. He looks round for a quill and some ink, and spies them lying upon a bedside table. He strides over to them and grabs them with a swipe of his hand. He pulls a book from the side and rips out a blank page, then sits down and begins to write.
...
Looking at the finished note he reads it over, checking everything he has stated. He stands and leaves, leaving the note on the table. Should you choose to read it, the note reads;
I am glad you have come to your senses, Lornas Fireeyes. If your wish is to move into the ruins so close to ours, you must understand the risk. The balance will be fragile. I cannot hold my men accountable for where they wander, I do not control them. If they were to wander into your ruins, I ask that no harm be brought to them. We seek to give The Mallowlyn Forest a defense, and should you choose to get in the way of that we shall rain down upon you.
If you wish to call us allies then so be it. As for now, we are wary at best. I shall not attack you, though if my men feel threatened, or feel as if the forest is being threatened, then they shall. We also ask to oversee the ruins that you wish to move into. We ask that no drastic changes occur to said ruin, or the land around it. Of course, the water nearby is perfect for a dock as you so rightly pointed out, so we shall allow a small one to be built.
The last thing that we ask of is that anything you find within those ruins is reported to us. We believe that The Mallowlyn Forest holds man secrets, and that some secrets will be within The Creek. The two ruins seem to be linked in some way, though in what way we do not know.
-signed,
Centurii Rhazev of The Blackwoods.
