Out-Of-Character

Minecraft Account Name:

Berhoh

How old are you?:

15

Time-Zone/Country of Residence:

GMT+1 (Belgium)

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:

Yes, I have incredibly good English language skills for it not being my primary language. I'm probably also better than a lot of native English speakers.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:

I'm a nice person, and I wouldn't kill innocent players in-game. I love to build things on Minecraft and am, in my opinion, a good builder too. I've made several adventure/RPG maps on Minecraft as well.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:

Since summer vacation has just started, probably every single day of the week, for about 3-5 hours a day.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you:

Role-playing is playing a (pre-defined) role inside a game or real life, which is not your actual identity, in which you become something you would like to be yourself.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?:

I've played on the Islands of Calsky server before, and I've played RPGs like Skyrim, Runescape (IN THE PAST) and such.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is:

Using out of character information to influence your gameplay. Like seeing someone's name in the chat and calling them by their name, although you don't know it in roleplay.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Emoting is:

Overpowering others by not giving them time to react or having your character have OP powers. Like attacking someone without a warning.

What do you expect this server will be like?:

Looks like a great role-play server, I've heard many good things on the Calsky forums... sounds much better than it aswell, a TRUE roleplay server!

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:

The Island of Calsky - their mods became too annoying and power-abusing.

Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:

Yes!

Do you promise to abide by said rules, and laws? This includes the Server, Forum, and Teamspeak set Rules:

Of course.

How did you hear about us?:

The Islands of Calsky forums

Have you previously made an Application? If so could you link us to your last Application?:

In-Character:

Character Name:

Tyrvall Valeroath

What Race are you? (You may only be Human, Orc, Elf or Dwarf!) :

Human

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

I am Tyrvall Amephilias. As a child, I used to live in a small hut near the Cloud Temple, untill my parents were taken hostage by Wihun Shurtgals, who had overseen me, as I was hiding underneath my bed. I roamed the wilderness for days, untill I came across a group of pale-faced men. They asked me where my parents were, and when I said that they had died, they invited

me to live with them. They certainly were strange people: they lived in a cave in the Greywise Mountains! I got my own room, and they treated me very well, but I do remember odd things from time to time... They sometimes did strange rituals in which they ate live sheep, and I sometimes got strange wounds in my neck, as if something had bitten me... they said it was probably because of fleas or something like that, but I still found it quite odd... They also hardly exited the cave, and never during the day.

When I had grown up, I decided to seek for my own adventures, and they gave me their blessing as I left. For a time I became a vigilante – I roamed the roads, saving people from bandits and muggers. I never killed anyone, though, I just fended them off, sometimes even knocked them out so that their victim could escape. Inside, I am really a nice person, who just wants to find inner peace.

Now recently, now I'm 28 years old, I have grown tired of this: I now wish to make a group of warriors that will aid me in ridding Asulon of evil-doers!

What are your Character's ambitions?:

I only wish to reach total peace in Asulon, which I will probably never be able to do, but well, I can still try!

What is your character’s favorite tool?:

Sword. How else am I supposed to threaten these bandits to lay off?

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?

I am very stealthy and have sneaky moves, as I was taught by the men who raised me. I am also not a bad miner.

Other Information about your Character:

I wear purple robes, as my guardians did. They also gave me a skull amulet, which I still wear to this day. I see it as a luck bringer.

Open-Response-Questions

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

I sneak through the treetops and overpower the first bandit with my dagger. Then I say:

“Back off, and run away with your companion here! Swear to me that you'll repent and change your ways!”

Of course, I hope they go for it, but if the other warrior decides to attack my anyways, I'll have to face off with them. After the confrontation, I check to see if the halfling needs any further help, and try to recruit him to my cause.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

I give him a nice, warm smile and say: “Ah, well, good man, why don't you hand me one of your finest apples?”

I might even give him a tip! It always feels good to help someone.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

I lay off it, and make sure there are no bandits nearby. If

there are, I bury the goods where the original owner may search

for his stuff. I'm sure those idiotic bandits won't even think

of putting to much effort into raiding this little shack.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

I ask them for food in exchange for money – after all, they need to make a living! Afterwards, I see if I can help them with anything. I'd help them trade some goods, transport them, or of course, protect them from enemies!

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

I tell them that before they act with violence, that I will negotiate with them, and have a backup plan.

“Listen here, guys. We have about twenty capable people in this village, you guys are with ten. I'd also like to inform you that several war veterans are currently residing here, so I kindly advise you to go away, and never come back. If not, prepare to meet your end.”

Should they decline my kind offer, though, I would whistle, and as I arranged, the other villagers appear out of the bushes and trees, surrounding the bandits. I give them one more chance, and if they decline once more, I see no other choice than to slaughter them with the other villagers.

Anything else you would like to say?:

I say peace before violence! You cannot reach peace when all you do is fare war!
