Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: I am interested in playing Minecraft, and enjoy Roleplaying servers. I like the idea of joining a community and faction on Minecraft.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?: 5 hours usually, maybe a little more or less depending on how busy I am.

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: It is when a person becomes a character (usually for the purpose of a game) and acts as that character rather than them self. This allows players to interact differently with one another than they may in real life and also immerse them self in the game making it as real an experience as they can.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I have played on other Minecraft Roleplaying servers. I also play World of Warcraft.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: This is when you pass in-game information to another player using out-of-game source. For example, you find out something and tell your friend through skype (or something similar) about it, and they use that information in-game rather than them finding it out for them self, or asking someone in-game.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Gaming is: This is when a person overpowers their character. For example, a character is swamped by five or six other men, and the character has no weapons available, yet still beats all five of them without hurting him/her self.

What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect this server will be well run, fun but also have strict roleplaying rules to make it a better experience.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played on Massivecraft and left it because all my friends stopped playing on the server.

Character Name: Caelik

What Race are you?: Elf

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race):

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): Caelik (meaning archer and arrow) is an Elf who was abandoned by his parents at birth, his father and mother both elves who had been banished from their elven colony. They stole what food they needed and felt they could not support a third mouth and so they left him alone in the woods – a mere child. Miraculously Caelik survived his infant years and at the age of 4 was taken in by a band of Elves he came across while exploring the woodlands – they took him in and he saw them as his new family as he grew. They taught him how to wield a bow and he has an excellent control over the art of archery. They also taught him tactics to survive when in the wild (although he had picked quite a lot up already). These combinations of abilities allowed him to become an incredibly talented hunter, and has allowed him to master the art of stealth too. His hunter “parents” decided to give him the name Caelik because of his elven heritage and also because of him being very adept with a bow. He stayed with the hunting clan and hunted with them for many years, until his twentieth birthday. At this point he decided that it was his time to explore the world of Asulon, however he goes back to see his family every couple of months and always brings them a gift from the afar regions of Asulon.

He is 24 and has blue eyes. No one really knows what he looks like because he always wears a hood which covers a large proportion of his face. He is kind and caring, but is also hard and ruthless at times.

However, he has numerous weaknesses. One being if reminded of his parent’s and how they abandoned him, he descends into a burning rage, in which he will lash out at anything or anyone who angers him. This stays with him for a number of hours. He is also very susceptible to having a good time and enjoying himself. However a long night of partying and alcohol takes its toll, and he wakes up with an unnaturally bad hangover (worse than any normal person’s). He also finds it hard to understand the use of a sword and isn’t very skilled in this ability.

What is your Character's ambitions?: To set up his own Elf colony and to restore honour to his family’s name

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): Bow and arrows.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?: Archery.

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? Caelik walks over to the scene, “What’s happened?” he asked. One of the armed men responds, “This Halfling stole some money off me!”

“Did you steal some money?” Caelik queries the Halfling. The Halfling responds, rather truthfully, “Yes I did.”

“Well rather than harassing him, why not get the law involved so he can be dealt with appropriately?” Caelik asked the warriors. Caelik then runs over to find the nearest guard while the warriors keep the Halfling close until the guard comes.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response? Caelik sauntered casually up to the merchants stall. “Would you happen to have any arrows I could purchase?” he enquired.

The merchant responded with, “As a matter of fact I do” as he pulled a bulging quiver of sharp arrows from under his stall, “500 minas”. Caelik scowled, “I don’t have that much. Would I be able to take the price down to 300?”

“That’s a tough one,” the merchant replied, “do you have any items you would be willing to trade as well as the money?”

Caelik offered up a golden candlestick he had come across on the road.

“Perfect”, the merchant grinned and handed over the arrows.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: Stumbling across the house, Caelik went in. He came across a chest brimming with iron and a golden sword. However, checking the other rooms, he realised that there appeared to be a person living in the building. Realising this, he quickly made his escape from the way he came before the person reappeared.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? Caelik approached the traders quietly, bearing no weapons to show he didn’t mean ill. “Excuse me, I’m lost in the forest with no food or water, would you mind if I stayed with you for a short while?”

The trader replied in a gruff tone, “Fine, but what’s in it for me?”

“I could offer to catch some animals for you, or I can pay my keep with some minas if you want?” Caelik offered.

“I don’t need your money, but the hunting does sound tempting. If you catch something for every night you stay, it’s a deal.”

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Caelik sauntered over to the guards, “What’s all this about?”

The guard responded, rather flustered, “We’re trying to organise some people to assist us in the elimination of some bandits who are persisting on standing in the middle of the road outside town”

“What’s in it for me?” was Caelik’s first question.

“You’ll get fifty minas”

“Sounds like a fair deal, and I’m a little out of practise with my bow anyway” responded Caelik

“So does that mean you’ll help?” asked the guard

“Sure, why not?”

“I’ll sign you up now then, we leave in ten minutes.”
