Minecraft Account Name: Voidsoldier

Character Name: Sorn'Ryn Despiryn

Race: Mori

Gender: Male

Age: 110 (mori) 550(human)

Appearence:

Sorn'Ryn stands at a usual height for a normal male Mori, generally ranging between 5'5 to 6' Sorn stands right towards the end at 5'11. His body structure is that of a warrior, a long lean and well built body with good mass to it. His face is chiseled and has sharp features lining it with a strong jaw, leaving little room for any symbolance of fat on his face. Despite the calm look on his face at all times he has very good looks.

His skin is lightly paled, a certain hue of grey, as if a perfect blend of both dark and light. His eyes are a beautiful iced blue, deep as a ocean themselves, giving off the look of deep thought at all times. His hair is long and flowing, covering parts of his face and such and running all the way down the entirety of his back, towards the end it is cut off into two pony tails with obsidian black bands wrapped around it to hold it in place. His hair, despite the normal color of most Mori hair, has been dyed from his apothecary supplies to match the color of a deep flowing blood or crimson red, which is a stunning and drawing feature of his. His face is clean and with little blemishes outside from a nick or two on his jaw from fights of his. His face is usually without expression for the most part outside of a calm and thoughtful gaze given off by himself, which can be seen contorting into a feral look as he enters battle. His facial expressions match his personality.

His clothes consist of a few key points. A sleeveless brown vest that is laced down the middle, no shirt lining it underneath to reveal his partially scarred sculpted chest and stomach, as if showing off his body. A apothecary belt hangs loose on his side housing several belts and pouches which hold his supplies, clasped together in the middle by a golden buckle. His pants are tight and with two pouches on either side of his, holding more supplies as well as his minas pouch and what not. His looks are nothing too special or catching. Covering his arms are thick black tribal like tattoos, lining up and down his arms.

His hair is a distinguishing feature of himself. Sorn was born like most Mori with paled snow white hair, the common feature of the Mori, and he had kept this feature for the longest time of his life, though slowly he began a technique. Whilst hunting on the over world, he would find himself in common practice dying his the bangs of his hair with the people he had slain. At first it was simply a show of pride, a trophy of sorts until this grew and grew until he began to dye his hair fully to give the blood red aura emitting from it. To some this may be shown as disgrace to the race of Mori, but to Sorn it is a show of pride, and of superiority amongst his enemies

Personality:

Sorn is a calm, thoughtful and yet powerful Mori Male. For the most part the time he spends around Menorcress he will be calm and gentle, not really caring to the outside problems, his expression usually lost in thought. You will be hard pressed to ever anger Sorn through conventional means such as insulting him, though the actions he does once he is angered and enraged are severe. His words are usually soft and easy as they flow out of his mouth, uncaring to the common problem.

Despite being calm for the most part, Sorn masks a terrifying and brutal personality beneath the calm expression he lets out, being a true warrior and dedicant to Nemiisae and her children, he is always willing to fight and die for his people. He is wise and knows many things ranging from combat to herbs to healing and more. He is generally a man you can go to without fear of him lashing out against you for reasons unknown, and is one of the more caring Mori, though he along with all people has his limits, and once you pass those limits he can become ruthless and cruel, willing and able to do terrible things to prove a point.

His professions have led him down two life styles. On one path Sorn'ryn is a warrior, a killer, a brute and a man to be feared... Though on the other path he is a wise man, a intellect, a calm and gentle healer who should be respected. Because of these two splits he can react to a situation by lashing out with his brutal side, or by helping it with his wise side, something that makes him unpredictable and likely unstable at times.

Biography:

Sorn'ryn Despiryn has lived a life of violence, pain and despair. His parents, both of them living in the slums, neither of them wanting to engage in the futile war that is Mori politics, never amounted to anything special in their lives. His father was a minor Kyorl working with the Mori people to protect from foreign threats, and his mother was a low life small time apothecary working with limited resources and even more limited knowledge. His life was essentially one big **** up, though his parents never seemed to mind their apparent uselessness in this life. From a early aged he despised this thought process they had, despised their apparent lack of caring of their pathetic situation of life, he soon allowed himself to be cast out from the pitiful home.

From an early age he was a fighter. Despite his apparent hate for his parents he would often beat the hell out of anyone who would speak up on their poor status, if not out of respect for his parents, out of sheer pride of himself. He learned how to fight fast because of these scuffles, these little duals laying the line of his future. After leaving the sanctuary that was his parents grasp, he found himself on extended leave of absences from Menorcress, hunting trips and such. At first these moments started small, a day or two, and grew to weeks and even months at a time. He would come home with plenty to feast upon for his brothers, but this feral life of his soon grew on.

In a extended leave on the surface above, he encountered his first surfacer. Through his time in Menorcress he had only learned very little of common knowledge, able to understand the language to a extent and speak basic words with a broken tongue, though for the most part he was stuck with speaking the immortal tongue alone. This meeting soon turned to conflict as the fat human noble began to show spite towards the dark skinned Sorn'ryn "Your skin is as filthy and black as mud itself" which enraged Sorn'ryn to a blinding degree. Sorn'ryn practically tore the man into pieces with his hands alone, leaving the dead body to be eaten by wildlife.

In his journeys along the main lands he learned more common than most Mori males would, though he only used it to further spread the immortal power of Nemiisae, and of the superiority of the Mori'quessir race. This led to fights and even small skirmishes as Sorn and his brothers fought and killed the disgusting surfacers. He was a man born and raised in blood, it had seemed not much could change the violent tendacies he had come across. After spending upwards of a month on the cold harsh surface, Sorn returned with his plentiful bounty of loot, torn from the dead corpses of the fallen surfacers, amongst anything else he could scavenge...

Upon his return, he was met with cruel words..

His parents had died, his father in a brutal conflict with surfacers, and his mother having poisoned her own self. His hate for them... It had never been real, what man can truly despise his parents, and the knowledge of their leaving this realm, and by such pitiful means, made him even more angry. He grew into a self contained rage, hiding away from the outside life, keeping himself busy only by rigorous mental and physical training. In his spare time he had taken interest in his mothers art of apothecary, reading the vast amount of books she never did, and even experimenting with them. His life, was changed, he was not a uncontrollable beast anymore, through this depression, through this lost he had come by, he was met with a calming sense of self control.

His isolation had bettered him, it had made him the man he had always wanted to be, but it had also distanced himself from the Mori culture and way of life, even distancing himself from his goals of being a Kyorl and noble man. After coming forth from his long long isolation, he has decided to do everything in his power to get to where he wants to be, and that he is not happy with where he is in life right now.

Your characters ambitions:

Sorn'ryn has many ambitions in this life of his, many of them seeming to conflict with one another, though despite these doubts he is a man of hard work and will strive towards them without hesitation. One of his goals is to become a Kyorl of the nation of Menorcress and guard its people with his life, a position formerly taken up by his father, though he seeks to be more than his father ever was. Another goal that seems to conflict with the protective life style of a Kyorl, is to take up his mothers trade in the art of apothecary, to learn its ways and become a healer of sorts. Though the healer goal is a back goal of his he has found a strong urge to delve into the arts of apothecary.

A final, and much more sincere goal of Sorn'ryn's is to take something his parents never could, never did... A seat of power. Though Sorn is not a power hungry man, he is a very proud, a very strong man, and from the time he realized how pitiful his life was, he has wanted to strive to make it better, to be better.

Why does your character do what he/she does?

Sorn'ryn does what he does in the name of the Mori'quessir people and their nation of Menorcress. He does what he does in the name of his goddess Nemiisae and her demands of a superior race, demanding respect from anyone who may speak down upon the Mori race. He is not a inherently evil man, though he can be pushed to do horrendous things, and has of course done so in his past. He is willing to do what he has to do to strive towards a seat of power, follow the orders given to him, respect who he has to, kill who he has to. If a bloodied blade is what is needed to get what he wants then he will be the first to bloody his blade on the fat human nobles above.

What moral boundaries does your character adhere to, if any?

Moral boundaries are thin when it comes to Sorn'ryn and you will be hard pressed to find any kind of symbolance of pity when it comes to him. He can be kind and caring to his own people, and yet terrible and cruel to the people above. He feels as if a vendetta has been cast upon himself and the people of the surface, and is willing to fulfill this vendetta despite any personal feelings or morals of his own self. When it comes to his own kind, he can swing either way, being a man of infinite kindness, or a man for terrible cruelty. He knows the time to be kind and cruel, and will do as he need to do to get what he wants, morals being put on a back burner in his mind.

What are some notable strengths and weaknesses of your character?

Strengths:

Sorn'ryn is physically strong due to the years and years of him fighting both brethren and surface dwellers, hunting them like cattle. He has learned to use a blade well and has always been a man to fight with his fists if the time comes down to it. He is in adept physical condition and could likely out fight most surface dwellers due to his intense skill and agility.

Sorn'ryn has a sound mind. Due to his years of studying and isolation he has learned to be a wise man as well as how to be a killer. His skills with apothecary, while adept as of now, will grow fast due to his quick learning capacity.

Sorn'ryn has a strong will and is willing and ready to serve his people in any way needed.

Weaknesses:

Sorn'ryn is unpredictable. He can be kind and generous to you, or cruel and greedy, it all depends on the mood he has been set in. If he seeks redemption for having been wronged, nothing will stop him. Because of these potential mood swings, Sorn may not always be seen as reliable, and these also may get him into trouble with his peers.

Both a good and a bad thing, Sorn'ryn has been cursed with severe pride in not only his race and nation, but himself too. He has not escaped the curse of the Mori, the curse of pride, and because of this intense pride he will often get into fights that could have been avoided through a little dedication and control.

Sorn'ryn comes from a pitiful family and will likely be spit on at first by most Mori due to his severe lack of any importance, he is on the low scales of the political food chain.

What role will your character play in Asulon?

Sorn'ryn will play two major influential roles, both depending on what situation he is in and what has led him there.

On one side and one role, he will play that of a fearless powerful warrior, willing to fight, kill, and die for his nation, willing to destroy anyone who talks down upon his glorious race, or who talks down to himself .

On the other hand, he may at times also play the part ((likely later on in character development)) of a wise and powerful man, even possibly of a healer or priest; These two roles define him and either may happen in the course of his development.

During the beginning of my development with Sorn'ryn, he will lay more heavily on the side of a brutal warrior, though if accepted he will of course develop and likely become more of a wise man, and fill that role.

Is your character loyal or a backstabber?

This question is entirely situational when it comes to a man like Sorn'ryn.

To his own kind, he is likely always loyal to them, kind and generous, willing to fight and die for his race and people, willing to follow the orders of those above him to the point, and to serve with all his heart. This of course may change with the situation, if his own kind tries to demean him to a point where he deems them not worthy to spew such insults, he may snap and try to knock said words out of their mouth, though generally he is a loyal pup.

To the surface people, he holds no loyalty in the slightest. He will fight, kill, maim, enslave and anything else himself or his superior deems worthy of the fat human nobles and disgraceful normandor elves. He will betray the surfacers on a whim, that is if he ever even establishes some form of friendship with any of them. To Sorn'ryn, right now all they are, are prey to hunt, to increase his capacity to kill.

Are you familiar with all server/villain application rules?

Yes ^.^

Evils to be considered for?

2A: Killing when unprovoked.

Sorn'ryn will need this evil for one simple reason, there are times when he cannot control himself. To some people the term provoked may mean something entirely different. Sorn'ryn is willing to fight and kill over simple insults, only if he deems them too harsh to take. He can be a infinitely kind and calm man, though he cannot always contain this rage. Though it will often take a long while for Sorn to get truly angry at a person for whatever reasons, once he is angry he has a hard time controlling his brutal side which will lead him to several fights and brawls, even going so far as to kill people over it.

2B: Slavery. Killing for pleasure.

Sorn'ryn will likely be taking the common surface dwellers for whatever means, be it to force them into labor, or simply to sell them. Likely he will do this mostly on a superiors command, though he may do this himself if he ever gets to where he wants to be as a noble man. Though this next part could easily belong in 2A, I thought it best to be placed under killing for pleasure. Sorn'ryn has, multiple times in his life, gone to the surface and hunted down the surface dwellers like one would hunt deer, taking this as not only a profession and duty of his, but also as a hobby, something he has found enjoyment in.

Why do you as a player wish to and think you deserve to play as a villain?

I have role played as villains for about a entire year now, almost since the day I have joined the server I have been a villain. I have been through ups and downs but from what I am told I can dish out good and even great role play with the privilege of a VA. I know the rules to the dot, I know what I can and cant do and I know to stick entirely to my character.

===Roleplay Related Questions===

As your character wanders the back-streets of Menorcress, you sight a cloaked figure lurking in one of the shadowed nook behind the Brothel: a rustle of cloth is heard, and the figure ushers you in with a skeletal finger. The hooded figure imparts information involving a conspiracy to over-throw the House of Miiystra, and offers you a hefty sum of coin to partake in the planned attack. How does your character react?

Sorn'ryn's patience was broken at the sound of the mans snake like words that angered him beyond meaning. Slamming his hands down onto the wooden table beneath his it would practically splinter under the force, the cowled man's eyes widening slightly as he slams back into his seat and begins to fumble to get "Nau" Sorn'ryn would say rather calmly despite his rather angry expression, rolling his neck as it pops a few times he would reach out and tear the cowl from his hood, revealing a rogue and wanted Mori beneath its shadowy grasps.

The Mori would sneer and growl at Sorn, sliding a blade out of his boot and flicking it up and down as he stares at Sorn "I offer coin, power and title and this is the reward I get? Anger and destruction beyond what I have ever seen? Watch your self child or I will hurt you." Sorn would sneer and the remark, trying his best to contain himself, though knowing the time for words has long since passed, sliding his golden blade from the reaches of his scabbard. "Nau you watch yourself, I do not owe a ounce of loyalty or servitude to you, all I owe is a fight to the death, and now I will entertain your wishes and pay this debt of mine."

The battle would be intense, the Mori's skill matching Sorn's, though the one thing the man did not have was determination, was something true to fight for, and in the end, parry and blows and all, Sorn over came the man. Sliding his blade cleanly through his gut he would sigh, immediately setting some of the still thick blood into a few vials at his side to use for later. Going off he would fetch a Kyorl and tell them of the incident.

Your character finds him/herself watching the Alure d'aphyon: the several fighters within the void maze wield only sticks as they prove their prowess as warriors by battling to the death. One of fighters happens to be a close companion of yours, and you witness him being strategically cornered by three of the other fighters and beaten to death. While the crowd cheers in celebration of the violence, and the death of your friend. How does your character react?

As he glamors slightly at the sight of the men, his past memories coming forth as he slowly begins to remember his wants at joining the competition, the sight would hit him. A compatriot, a brother in arms of his whom oh so enthusiastically was thrown into the combat this morning was struck down by 3 men. Gritting his teeth powerfully he would lightly growl at the sheer cowardliness of the three men whom allied against all others, knowing this to be strictly forbidden in such a tournament and yet being powerless to stop it.

His ally was dead, there was nothing to do now, to weep would be to be weak, to be sad would mean to give up. He would let the feelings fade from his mind, allowing them to enter his heart "I will carry you in my soul." He would utter under his breath, as if a last promise to his fallen brother. Knowing not to make a scene he would whisper quiet words of curses to the three men, hoping to some day face them in combat.

As you turn the corner into a dimly lit alley, a pair of young female rothe (slave/cattle) instantly run up to you. They are begging for a donation of either coin or bread. How does your character react?

Blinking a few times, the sight of the two female surfacer beggars would slightly irk his much more brutal side, thoughts of pain, of torture and death entering his mind. How easy it would be to kill these two women, and no one would know or miss them, and yet, he began to question himself, why lead himself to such a exhausting waste of energy. A true warrior does not have the need to abuse the power given to him, to beat the weak.

Refusing to hand them such a thing for free, he would cast them away with words of warning, that not everyone would be as he is, to ask for such a hand out from such a race is like asking for death. Sorn felt no pity for the two cattle, though he felt no spite, they had done nothing to him and he had returned the favor.

A male and female rivvil [human] and a rivvil child seem lost amidst the alley-ways of byr'shuk [outsider-market]. The woman walks with a long staff, and the man appears to have a scabbard at his side. How does your character react?

Being the man that he is, Sorn would immediately think something was off. A family of the fat human nobles inhabiting the area of the Mori market place? He would lightly growl at the sight, wondering why they think they can walk so freely in these lands, when Mori are cast out like dogs in the human capitals above. He would detest this scene despite them not having done anything of personal harm to him, his brutal side would show, and as he walks up, his anger showing both in his structure and in his voice, he would meet them with a rude welcoming.

"Why... Are yau here?" He would say, his voice ringing with spite "Rivvil familay not belong in Mori'quessir lands." He would narrow his eyes, a hand lightly placed on his blades as he surveys the men and woman. Clearly distraught the family would mask their fear "We heard your markets were the best around... though we have been lost for some time, and only seek passage home now Mori man... I assure you we will not be a bother..." The man would say, trying to keep a calm smile on his face, though clearly intimidated. Sorn'ryn would point in the direction of the boat and half growl "Goau before I make you goau..." Sending them on their way, his brutal side quelled by the lack of insults from the rivvil family.

Two guards try to break up a fight between your acquaintance and two members of another qu'ellar [house]. Your 'friend' slays one of the guards as he approaches, causing the others to draw their arms. How does your character react?

Sorn'ryn's ice blue eyes would widen slowly as he realized what the man before him just did, to kill a Kyorl is to kill your own self, all fool men should know that. By doing this deed the man had killed the thing Sorn has looked up to all his life, whatever friendship they had was over. His blade would be out in a moments notice as he impales the unsuspecting friend from behind "Friend or not you bertayed the Mori over what? A pathetic conflict of interest. You do not deserve Nemiisae's guidance" He would say, his final words calm but hateful, letting his spite be fully known. As he slides his blade out of his body and back into his sheath, he would close his calm ice blue eyes.

"I submit" He would say as he opens them again, his face blank and without emotion, his blue eyes looking the scene over as he holds out his arms, ready to be shackled "I have caused the death of a Kyorl, I deserve the worst of punishments for aligning myself with the scum of this planet, someone who would so easily betray our people... And thus, I submit to your judgment." The older Kyorl would shake his head as he goes to his knees and feels the dying pulse of the guard, and then the pulse of the impaled friend of Sorn's "Nau" The white haired man would say, shaking his head "You may have caused this, but you ended it as well. Your name young one?"

"Sorn'ryn, at your service." He would say calmly, trying to strike a conversation with the man he respects.
