Cappy 1599 Share Posted August 31, 2012 Cyrial hurries through the Sanctuary, making her way to the temple with an unusual haste, a gleam of anger in her usually calm demeanor. She descends to the monk rooms, pinning a note on the wall by the entrance. ((Unless you are a monk, or are trespassing in the monk's quarters, you wouldn't see this note)) The note reads: My fellow Monks of the Wilven Sanctuary, worshippers of the Celestial Triumvirate, I was making my way over to the Altar to the Celestial for my nightly prayers, before I put myself to rest for the night. As I approached the altar of my Lady Rellenia, I spied something amiss with the name engraved on the altar. Closer examination led to a sacrilegious discovery; some fiend has desecrated the Altars of the Celestials! *a rough sketch of the vandalism lies beneath* I know not who or what this "Metztli" is, but I can only assume it is a grave insult in a language unfamiliar to the common tongue. Suppressing my fury at this heinous deed, I completed my prayers and moved to the Altar of Lord Keldrith. This time, however, the intent was much clearer. *a second sketch lies beneath* Strangely enough, the Altar of Lord Tariel was untouched. Some being has entered our holy place and committed a sacrilegious act on our very altars! Us, who give our resources and abilities to help the people of Asulon. The damage must be repaired as soon as the resources and craftsmen can be mustered. Whoever committed this deceitful act will likely never be caught, but we must remain vigilant. ~ Cyrial
everblue2er101 906 Share Posted August 31, 2012 Verblu hears a commotion ahead in the hallways of the Cloud Temple, outside the Monk rooms, and wearily goes to see what's the matter. Two younger monks, clearly not mindful of the rack they're making, are excitedly discussing something recently discovered. Listening as best as he can with his slowly decreasing hearing, Verblu can understand that someone has purposely damaged the most sacred shrine to the Celestial Triumvirate. An unfamiliar feeling of rage swells inside him, and he storms off. Now hoo would do such a t'ing in tha shrine, he thinks. An' why does t'at word 'Metztli' sound' like I 'eard it before? He swiftly walks towards the library, imagining that if he cannot remember where he has heard the strange word he can at least try and look it up. Cappy 1599 Author Share Posted August 31, 2012 Cyrial angrily strides back to the monk quarters, pinning another very short notice beneath the first. "Metztli" is the name of a Kha goddess. We have our desecrator. A Kha confirmed this for me and declared the Triumvirate false gods on their very altars.
