We were formed in the year 56 when the dwarf reunited and moved back to Karik. The 3 clan lords made Dom Irongut the position of the Master Engineer, a position on the Karik counsel, and at Dom's request the old prison as a workshop. Dom then set about repairing and outfitting the workshop with a crane and a forge, as well as plans for a vault. Catapult- A siege weapon that throws large rocks and such. Claimed in the Conquest of Alras. Trebuchet- Similar to a catapults in the fact it also throws rocks and such. Also Claimed in the Conquest of Alras. Cannon- A gunpowder powered siege weapon. Another weapon claimed in the Conquest of Alras, latter reverse engineered for production. Mortar- A new dwarven siege weapon designed to be more effective than cannons. (developmentaly a 25 year old human is as developed as an 80-90 year old dwarf I believe. Age wise if you are 25 years old you are a dwarven teenager. Thats is what I think it true I could be wrong. I can make some good piston doors, basic traps and redstone, but I can't do any of the complicated curcuit things. Are you capable of being in large scale projects? Well, me fadder was a Smith n' Engineer, an' 'e taught me fer 'bout 10 years until 'e passed right after Theor was born... t'en I picked up from tha skills 'e taught me an' I learned me self. I just wanted to tell you guys I have been talking to Hiebe, our new king, about getting us a salary to get us some money as there have been a few complaints about starving to death. I would also like to suggest getting a second job as a laborer to get some minas. No on to another thing I have been meaning to do for awhile. An example of a small post for creations not large enough for a lore post. Now for the example, The Dwarven Pipe Roll.) Dom sits down after a long day of fighting orcs at Volvokrim. He reaches into his pack for his pipe and tobacco. Pulling out his pipe he sees that it is broken and curses. This was the third pipe this month. Hard campaigning was costly for Dom. His pipes were always breaking and this was his last one. Sighing he searches through his back for anything he could use to smoke with. First he pulls out a bit of old wool and wraps it around the tobacco. Lighting it he breaths in and begins coughing. The wool ruined the taste of the tobacco and gave off a terrible stench. Unrapping the roll, he then wraps it in paper and lights it. Inhaling deaply Dom finds that the smoke from the paper has little taste and that it gave the desired affect. Dom could finally smoke his tobacco. And so the dwarven pipe roll was born. (This is an example of a small post that serves the purpose of presenting the history behind some small device with little function or some little thing that you believe would add to your role play.) I lost track ((realy old the only dwarves older then me are the oldest goldhands, Hiebe and Kilgrim Are ye in a clan? from the day i was born How did ye learn Engineering? I picked sum things up from Magna grimmhal who was a bit of an engineer and ofcourse from me travels, i learned enough and i be smart. i can build, i work well and i know alot about wood, i even wrote a book about all the kinds of wood with their strenghts and weakneses, and i have a workshop in Khaz'Verngaz. How long have ye learned Engineering? I dunno, i just know that i can engineer fer a good bit. Can ye draw plans well? Aye, that be one of the things i like, i want order and you get that with plans.
