MC Name: Leonidas8227882

RP Name: John Smithings/Gladiant_Ondivic_John

Village Name: Arvein

Why is your character starting this village/settlement? What is its purpose?:

John, when he was a kid, was a noble once. His town was burned down by a bunch of bandits who wanted nothing more than the loot out of it. For many years John has been struggling to survive while saving up in hopes of one day rebuilding this town that his once father created. However, through struggling through many lands he saw corruption, greed, and evil nobles. Many people who lived in their cities were poor and barely had any clothes on. At one time he saw an army of Dwarves marching through Salvus and then a few weeks later news was received that they sacked a city after negotiating peace with the King of the Oren Empire. When he was in Solace, he saw elves and orcs being picked on for just who they were even though they didn't try to fight or do anything bad.

Finally though, after 20 years John has managed to save up enough money and goods to re-create his father's town. However, he is going to do things differently. This town he hopes will be centered on freedom and liberty with no Lord ruling it but instead a council. He also wishes to create a place that all races may live in harmony. He also realizes the economical and political advantages and disadvantages of doing this because he was once a noble and was around nobles in The Oren Empire. Along with that, he hopes that this town will be the place in which Salvus, Renatus, The Dwarven Empire, and other nations may come to negotiate instead of marching into each other's land and threatening to kill people on a massive scale. His final hope that the town will be the stake between the 3 kingdoms in-case a war starts if it ever does to stop the large scale bloodshed.

What type of political system or leadership is within the village?

The village will be set up with a strong, democratic system. There will be votes, a system that allows people to speak their minds more freely, and a council to discuss the important issues.

High Chancellor - The head of the Council who officially passes the vote, tax, bill, or answer to a problem.

Council - The Council is a group of people who take in people's suggestions, complaints, and comments on the village and discuss it. They also take in what other nations, nobles, towns say about them and discuss about that. Finally, they also create votes or find solutions to problems the village is dealing with.

Dragoons - The warriors and guards of the village. They keep the village safe from thieves, murderers, attacks, and worse. They also uphold the law.

Citizens - People who officially own a shop or building in the village. These people have official voting rights and their voice greatly matters. These people may also be Dragoons. To enter the Council, they must have lived in the village for at least one Elven week.

Civilians - People who don't own anything in the town and are just passing through. They don't have any rights in the town. They may become Dragoons or buy a house or shop to become a Citizen.

What sort of behavior will residents exhibit? (Race relations, nation relations, etc.):

The people in the town are not allowed to show racism towards any race. Thus, everyone is friendly towards every race in the town. Some who don't want to, will simply hide it. The town is on extremely good relationships with The Kingdom Of Salvus so any noble or person who comes from Salvus is to be treated with respect or kindness. The Dwarven Empire and Renatus are on neutral relations with Arvein so no one will really care much if they come in unless relations increase.

Where would you prefer the town’s region be? Including a screenshot of the land would be nice (of game or map).

The town is in a desert region between two snowy regions and a grassland. It is also by a river.

Any other details (architecture, races, culture, etc):

The races living there are mainly humans and dwarves. However, some other races have settled in as well in hopes of finding a peaceful land in which they won't be instantly disrespected for being what they are. Others have come there in search of becoming rich and others have come with the same dream as John. The cultures are widely mixed due to that so many people travel in and out from across the world. Their architect be the same too. However the village tries to keep them all looking relatively along the same lines unless otherwise.

The village's main source of income and survival is trade. It usually needs to buy stuff like tools and food from traders. However, inside of the town the main products are fish and mined materials. The building's usual designs have a wooden structure and a stone roof or wood. Around the city there is also a wall to keep out most of the troublemakers. There are also some joined together houses to hold more people in the city within a little space. It is made of Stone Brick. There is also a gatehouse at the front and some mini-towers.

Can you tell me what is different about this charter? and why this is the same theme of charter that keeps popping up. There are many the same as this charter that are managed by LotC veterans such as the 'Rhunia' charter. Now unless you can prove me wrong in saying this, but it seems this village is forming for the beneficial title of Lord, or else you would of signed a charter such as the Rhunian one itself. Unless you can be obliged in arguing my point.

Why is it the same theme of charter popping up? Beats me. I literally just looked at this section of the forum yesterday under how to create a village and made one. Also, the rp hoped to be made here is that the three nations coming together and the diplomatic rp, tensions, ect... being held there. Also, the town may provide some good rp when the greedy guts from the nations come out and want to take it. On top of that, villains who are against freedom or want to see if the freedom is legit would most likely come this place and produce some good rp. Others may come there in hopes of creating political scandals of or worse. If the villains succeed in assassinating or creating a scandal, they could cause extremely bad things to happen creating rp chaos, confusion, and rp fun. That is the rp that I hope will come and be created my town. I will be working really hard to hopefully make it happen as well.

Also though my character was once a noble and his town was burned down when he was a kid. Thus, he hopes to rebuild his family's honor and his father's work (should've added this).

In my opinion tbh, there are only so many reasons why a town can be created. Those are such as love, honor, peace, power, freedom, evil uses, money, religion, fleeing, or just one of those plain ones which have no reasons at all. They just want too. Also, these towns may be led up to in RP differently, but it is still the same rp end result. This town is more along the lines of freedom and family honor. However what is different about this is the way its political system is set up which is nearly completely different to the political system in lets say The Oren Empire. There is no "Lord". There is the council which works together to decide everything. It also allows peasants and citizens way more freedoms than the average town out there (I think).

Also sec, adding more rp to the purpose.

edit- Done adding more rp.

Well it turns out NO town is being accepted until 3.0 in 2 months. Thus, i'm guessing this town will have a long wait to be accepted. Same for all.
