A grevious injury

Patrick stands in the walls of the Old Knights keep, in full battle armor, his bannermen around him

He says words of courage and honor to the men, all readying their lances and weapons, the enemy could be hard on the other side, crashing in tides against the gates, and he lowers his head

He raises it slightly, in the Armor of the Gryphon, and wielding Gryphon's Talon

The screeches of the enemy are heard over the gaes, the wood splintering

The enemy crashes through the gates, spiders, skeleton, and men of rotting flesh, his lances charge at the enemy with valor and honor

A Necromancer challenges Patrick, letting out cries as it sends it's undead hordes upon him, he charges, raising his sword against it's vile magic

He brings his sword up, slashing at the necromancer's head, felling it, as his arms come down at the swing, an arrow flies, piercing him, and he falls, bleeding from it's poison...

... Many hours later, his cold but breathing body is found, and rushed to the Imperial Palace, where he is laid to be tended to, his life in the hands of the clerics...

Patrick rises one morning, he slowly wakes, his eyes fluttering to the faces of clerics and priests, a precession of healers tending to him

A trio of guards await at the far wall, out of the way

The clerics speak of how he needs to lay still, and rest, getting close to him

He shoves ones face out of his "Get out of my face.." He swings his legs over the bed and stands, stretching with a groan of coiled and spent limbs

He starts to shuffle away, taking a deep breath, he notices he is in a white loose shirt, and black trousers

"Tis all we could find, Prince Patrick, twas your fathers" Someone says

Patrick smiles "Call me PAtrick, and it's fine, I don't like all those fancy clothes, these fit just fine" He walks out of the door, waving the guards away and down the steps to the court room to see his grandfather
