1. When a character dies, they lose 30 minutes worth of memory/everything regarding a certain event in some cases. Is that comparable to half an in-game day? What about a 24-hour cycle?

2. When a monk dies, do they suffer the same amnesiac consequences? A day/half days' worth of memories?

3. Can a monk sense any ill will in someone?

4. What are the guest rooms used for in the temple? It does not seem like healing is a long process and visitors to the temple aren't really encouraged to stay.

5. Is the temple library open for all to visit?

6. What version of the temple protection lore are we using? Lago's, where harmful actions are reflected back onto the doer, or the other lore where all harmful intents are erased inside the hills?

-----------

7. Are villains still stripped of their approved application and blacklisted if they preform villainous actions inside the sanctuary, even if they adhere to the lore? (Assuming Lago's)

8. When did the Orc peaceful riots take place? In-game year preferably.

9. Have there been any settlements that have fallen in the past two in-game years? Race and location does not matter. Links to threads would be most appreciated too.

10. Can someone with a living monk character PM me so I can go over some things with you?

11. Would a villain/murderer PM me so I can go over some things with you?

12. Is there a chance of someone recognizing someone from their amnesiac period?

IE: Person A gets murdered by Person B. Person B dies shortly after. They meet up again at the temple.

I know this is covered by the 'forget all memories regarding an event' rule, but what if both players agreed to it?

A lot of questions, sorry!

2. Yes, as monks are the same as any other character.

4. Mostly RP opportunities, should they present themselves. Spare rooms have been used for treating sick/injured characters or travelers who request them.

5. Yes, the monks preserve knowledge for all Asulonians.

10. I've played a monk, although not as much lately.

These are the ones I can answer straight off the bat - I'll do some digging and see if I can come up with more.

30 minutes is about half an in-game day I believe. 30 minutes is supposed to be a guide, in general it means the events leading up to and surrounding your character's death.

2. When a monk dies, do they suffer the same amnesiac consequences? A day/half days' worth of memories?

Yes, as Everblue said.

3. Can a monk sense any ill will in someone?

No more than any ordinary character. It doesn't take a mind reader to look at someone and see they're pissed off or shady a lot of the time.

4. What are the guest rooms used for in the temple? It does not seem like healing is a long process and visitors to the temple aren't really encouraged to stay.

As Everblue said, usually role-play. My monk takes those in need of healing to those rooms to perform the healing and let them rest unless it's critical.

5. Is the temple library open for all to visit?

Yes, as Everblue said.

Lago's

-----------

7. Are villains still stripped of their approved application and blacklisted if they preform villainous actions inside the sanctuary, even if they adhere to the lore? (Assuming Lago's)

At the moment, yes. Just take it elsewhere.

8. When did the Orc peaceful riots take place? In-game year preferably.

No idea.

9. Have there been any settlements that have fallen in the past two in-game years? Race and location does not matter. Links to threads would be most appreciated too.

No idea.

10. Can someone with a living monk character PM me so I can go over some things with you?

Escharian is probably the best one to talk about monks with at the moment, but I can if you want.

11. Would a villain/murderer PM me so I can go over some things with you?

Does a Fjarriauga count? If so, sure.

12. Is there a chance of someone recognizing someone from their amnesiac period?

IE: Person A gets murdered by Person B. Person B dies shortly after. They meet up again at the temple.

I know this is covered by the 'forget all memories regarding an event' rule, but what if both players agreed to it?

Your retain no memories of the events surrounding or leading up to your death, so although someone who was there and did not die could bring you up to date on what happened, you wouldn't be able to recognise someone unless they had some pretty distinctive features and someone was there to tell you about it.

If both players agree to it, I don't see why not, as long as it's used for furthering role-play and not metagaming or such.

A lot of questions, sorry!

I have a question of my own after reading this. If person A murders person B, and person A dies shortly after, they both have forgotten, right? Since the feud took place during the thirty minutes before both of their deaths. But what if they have a rivalry that spans past the thirty minute period. For example, person A is a member of a clan/house that rivals person B's clan/house, like a Hatfields and McCoys scenario, where they have both vowed to kill each other. If they then saw each other inside the Cloud Temple, even IF they don't remember the recent events, wouldn't they both still want to murder each other? Are you supposed to act differently because of this? For example, my character would try and harm someone who had sworn to kill him.
