Character Name: Catherine Lithera

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary:

Catherine Lithera is was born to a family of bandits who relied on stealing to make a living. From the day she was born, Catherine was exposed to the horrors that her mother and father would commit to put food on the table. Her family raised her to be sneaky and agile. As she grew older, they taught her to be a pickpocket and how to use a knife and a sword. She hated it all, however. She could not understand why she was surrounded by people who would do such terrible things for money. She did not understand that her parents did everything so that she would have a better life than they had. By the time Catherine was sixteen, she could read some words and was lethal with a sword, or better yet, a knife. She did not want to use them however, and for now, her family did not force her to either. She had no siblings, just her mother, father and and two uncles, one of which had left when she was a girl and she had never seen since. Catherine's family would move around a lot, but always stay within the same general area. They were always on the run, even though one of them had done nothing wrong.

The day her father insisted that she help with one of his criminal operations was the day she ran away from her family. She was fed up with the way her parents lived, and she didn't understand why they lived that way. She took all the food she could, and left, being only armed with her sword and dagger. She travled throughout the countryside of the Holy Oren Empire, looking for a purpose in life and maybe even a friend.

Catherine has blond hair and blue eyes. She is average height, and can be very sneaky. She has been told she is attractive by different men during her travels, but others that she might have tried to pursue have rejected her. She is twenty five now.

What are your characters ambitions?: She wants to find her purpose in life. Perhaps she will join the military (if they will even let her), or find a guild and someplace to call home. She just wants to feel like she belongs somewhere.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?

I would not be able just walk by the dwarf and not feel bad about it later so I would ask the dwarf what he had to sell. Maybe if he has something that I can afford, I will buy it and leave a small tip. He shows me an array of necklaces, each with their own small gem on them. Even though the gems are probably not what he says they are, I pick the one with a bright blue one to match my eyes. I hand him the money, and I'm on my way again.

You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?

I would watch from afar and then unsheathe my sword. Maybe If I help this dwarf, he'll become my friend and we can work together in the future. I sneak up behind the orc and try to hurt him bad enough so that he will be unable to fight. I wound his leg, but he turns around and begins to attack me as well. Fortunately, the dwarf helps me fight off the orc. Eventually, he flees, and I introduce myself to my new companion.

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?:

I would collect the coins from the ground and put them in one of my extra pouches. I would then help the old man get up and give him the coins back, before helping him to the next town because his cane is broken. Hopefully I will have enough gold to buy him a new one.
