A Damaged Cart

*An elf robed in white can be seen walking the path from Haelun'or to Normandor at night. Behind him is a single cart laden with multitudes of curious and seemingly unrelated supplies including books, papers, a scale a few bags of wheat grains and some pristine and white fabric. As the elf crosses infront of the Flormali household of Normandor a wild dog leaps out before him. In surprise he jumps back.

However, the cart continues onwards eventually rolling off the tracks. Books descend and tumble down the mountain side towards the shore, the bags roll through a bush and tear; grains flow outwards, the scale splashes into the water below, the papers scatter and finally a shattered mask clatters to the ground; its permanently downturned smile evident. Moments later the wind picks up, further throwing about the assortment of things.

For a moment the elf pauses and grunts, his intense irritation evident. He begins to stride begrudgingly over to the mask.*

Orym stands near the willow. He hears a noise and curiously walks towards it. He then witnesses the cart crash and all of the books and papers fly everywhere. He walks up to the elf and raises an eyebrow at the wild wolf and the elf. He then says "Ker'ayla.. Might I ask what's going on here?" He then looks over his shoulder at the cart again before turning back to the elf.

*Kalenz looks at Orym in disdain and exclaims sarcastically:*

"I recently have gotten into a minor tussle with this cart! Clearly it has tried to assault me! Can't you tell?"

*Kalenz rolls his eyes and kneels down to the mask. As he picks it up the curious shattered red gem and the deep crack down the center are clearly visible. The gaze of the mask seems to look upwards in sorrow.*

Orym sighs as he hears Kalenz's response. "Well do you want help picking up your collection of books or should I walk away as if nothing's happened?"

*Kalenz looks to the cart in irritation, moments later he twitches once. A blue spark seems to shoot across his skin for a fraction of a second.*

*Curiously the cart seems to shift slightly as if attempting to lift itself from being wedged between the small slope and the tree. Moments later is stops, Kalenz stumbles towards another tree with his eyes closed as if in he is in pain. Subsequently he mumbles quietly with a hint of distaste in his tone:*

'"That would be ayla..."

Ceris Flormai yawns from within the Manor, stretching her arms above her head. "Oi, oi, what's with all the noooiise. . ." she mutters, drowsily to herself. "A girl needs her beauty sleep!" She throws herself out of bed and takes a moment to format her hair, a new style per morning as is the regular. She settles with the hair thrown forward over each shoulder with the hair tied together by beads around specific points, and wanders outside. "Eh. . . What's going on out here?" She spots the cart's owner and Orym having a conversation, and squints slightly, walking outside.

*Kalenz turns to the newcomer, still leaning on the tree for support.*

"Might you be particularly interested in helping fix this mess?"

Orym raises an eyebrow as he walks down the hill, collecting books as he passes by them. Once he has filled his pack up, he walks over to the crashed cart and begins to make a neat pile four feet from it. He then sighs as he walks back to where the books and papers are, repeating the process.

Ceris blinks as she is requested to help. "Aya, aya, I'll lend a hand. Give me a moment." She steps out from the doorway of the Manor and slides around the corner, going to assist in picking up all of the materials, occasionally flipping her hair or mumbling to herself.

*Kalenz shudders as the elf speaks, eyeing her approaching the things.*

"It is ayla llir... Not aya mali'ker..."

*Kalenz then frowns and looks to the scattered things before him, he steps away from the tree and approaches the cart.*

"Let us fix this first, hmm?"

Ceris frowns while continuing to work. "I didn't mean ayla, nor was I speaking Elven. I said aya. Aya is aya, and that is final. Okay? Aya." She carries a load of the things over to a safe place, to ensure they remain unaffected by the wind. "There are tools in the Manor should we need any of those. I can go grab some if necessary." She crosses her arms and flips her hair, looking over the cart.

*Kalenz looks to the dark elf and speaks with incredulity in his tone*

"My dear, aya is not a word. Indeed, aya will likely never be a word. Its use only belittles your speech, makes it seem inferior. Such is not to be desired, lest we regress to the levels of the uruk, no?

*He shivers slightly at the thought before approaching the cart. He grabs the handle firmly and pulls down, attempting to dislodge it. His feeble attempt has little affect on the cart's position, if anything making it sink depeer into the gap between the ground and the tree. He grunts.*

"Perhaps though, we may be needing some tools."

Ceris blinks several times, placing her finger on her lips. "Does it . . . have to be a word, for it to be said? I don't think so. And, I do believe you just said uruk. Is that not a word in the Orc speech to begin with?" She looks upwards towards the sky, before shrugging and turning back towards the Manor. She heads inside and peeks her head inside several rooms, stopping in the kitchen and reaching through the bar. "Now what do we keep in heeere. . ." She frowns, only being able to retrieve glasses and watermelons. "Nothing useful, evidently." She stumbles around inside, looking for something. She searches through her family's belongings, "I'll give it back, don't worry~" and retrieves some tools that may be useful for fixing the cart. "Regardless, I say aya," she says, as she exits the Manor.

*Kalenz rolls his eyes a second time.*

"Delightful" he murmurs sarcastically.

"A horrendous time for such a misfortune to occur... Yet it is sufficient you are willing to help... Thank you llir... Though uruk is also elven as much as I even hate to utter the word and be reminded of the vile brutes."

*Kalenz looks to the cart once more.*

"Though we will be repairing little while it is stuck on the hill here."

Ceris sets the tools on the ground near the cart, "Right, then." She then turns towards the rest of the shore, looking at what else still remains scattered upon the ground. She begins to trek down the hill to pick these things up, and place them in her safe, wind-free area.
