the dwarves rise and fall

after my last writing some people wanted dwarves in the picture so here you go

THE DWARVES

Long ago when Asulon was young and beheld new hope a great empire was forged in the mountains. This empire was one of dwarves skilled men who created everything and anything that could be melted and tempered. They had a great army and used its power to claim lands but they were not dictators they let each one live like it had before.

The Orcs retaliated but there rebellion was quelled and forgotten. But one fateful day a dwarves smith by the name of bortualis created a goblet of power giving amazing strength to anyone who drank it with minor side effects. He presented it to the king and the he drank the water that filed the cup. He became unbelievably powerful but in this rage of power killed hundreds in his countries for no reason. What they once were opposed to became what they strived for.. Dictatorship.

The king drank the cup every day until one day the cup lost its power and the side effects came in he drank so much that he died in his bed and the reign was ended. the other countries took what was theirs and forced the dwarves back into the mountains. The dwarves have rebuilt and made a name but never again shall they craft such beauties and magical items for they know one day it will happen again.
