In-Character Details

Character Name: Dreth Harper

Character Race: Human

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: Dreth Harper lived in Arethor, capital of the Holy Oren Empire with his family of 3. When Harpet was at the age of 5, his father and his crew went on a voyage and is now presumed dead after not returning for 24 years. At the age of 7 Dreth because very interested in the art of one-handed sword combat and begged his mother to allow him to learn the arts. When he was 10, he entered the junior tournament at the arena but failed, only to retry when he turned 11 and win. At the age of 15, Dreth's mother caught a horrible sickness, and after 7 months of agonising pain, she passed away. By the time of her passing, Dreth was 16.

Dreth became independant and found a job at the local inn. He also stayed at the inn and paid the rent from his salary. He worked there for many years but quit the job when he turned 21 to pursue the peaceful life with a family, but failed to do so. During the same year, he took an interest in mercenary work and was quite successful, and now, at the age of 27, he wishes to pursue his life goal, join the Oren Lances.

Dreth is a muscly man, quite big for his age, but not too big. He is also quite strong. He has medium-lengthed blonde hair and sea blue eyes. He has a blonde moustache and small beard.

Dreth has a gentle and kind heart, and is incredible loyal. But war is his home. He welcomes war, he loves the sound of metal and steel clashing, and the sound of enemies scream in agonising death. But he can control his love of war and is disciplined to obey his superiors.

What are your characters ambitions?: To join the Oren Lances and serve Emperor Godfrey I

Open-Response-Questions

Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? I walk up to the dwarf's wares and begin to browse. I pick up a silver medallion, hold it and examine it as it lays on my palm. I then ask the dwarf, "Kind dwarf, how much would this medallion cost?"

You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? I draw my sword with my right hand and jog forward. I then shout, "Orc, stand back!" I turn around and look at the dwarf, "the same with you dwarf, there will be no violence tonight! Not when I'm here." I then push the dwarf away from the orc and stand in between the two.

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?: I kneel down and put the Minas back into the bag. I push the bag gently back to the old man and stand back up, I look around for another replacement for his stick. I locate a long stick on the ground and move closer to examine it. I test it's durability and density by whacking it onto the ground. "This will do." I say to myself. I hurry back to the old man and tell him, "Here you are sir, I've found a replacement for your walking stick, It's not much, but it will get you to your destination, and if I may ask do you know which way leads to Arethor?"
