from the shadow part 2

[Reoigi 4]

Shade walked for days into the wilderness. Soon he stumbled landing face first in the sand. A man helped him up. When the man saw shades face that was covered in darkness he said you should wear a hood. Shade had never thought about it. The man took him to his camp. He offered him a bed and some food. “Reoigi” a familiar voice said from behind. The use of shades real name startled him. He turned around to see grim. Use that name he said. These people have become suspicious of the shadows. Where did you come from asked shade? A good question that will not be answered he said. Unfortunately you can’t suppress the shadows within you. Wear this he said. Grim gave shade a black armor. It was harder than chainmail but was lighter. Also it felt like a fabric. He put it on. It covered his whole body and a low hood made the shadows look natural. Grim said we may never speak again. Reoigi was startled. He asked why but grim stood up and walked into the night shade. Suddenly he was gone the man snored. At first light the man was awake. Reoigi asked him to be a guide along his trek to oren. The man reluctantly agreed. Reoigi had found out that it was closer than he had thought. They stayed in kalrugan for the night. There Reoigi learned to mine. He never thought it important but it made him stronger. His guide turned back. He stayed with the dwarves for a week. They taught him to build and to mine. He grew muscular. He looked at the compass for the first time since coming to kalrugan. He parted with the dwarves and walked to oren. Upon arrival he was amazed. The city felt right a place he felt that he belonged in. he had no money but saw a man with some. He knew what he was trying to get now. He walked around the city every turn had a sense of déjà vu. He found some farmland. Past it were woods. He went to the woods. He walked into a building though as the path led through it. He took a sword out of a free pile. It was made of stone. It too felt right. He walked into the woods. A skeleton shot at him. It hurt but it had not pierced the armor. He ran up to it. He jumped up and thrust his sword into the skeletons skull. On the skeleton he found a bow arrows and money. He was surprised but the feeling vanished when he realized the money might be a trophy from someone the skeleton had collected.
