Supremacy 3361 Share Posted December 16, 2012 A fire burns at night in the camp of the elves within the new city of the dwarves. They had found a home yet none seemed content with the situation. Now each exhausted and as hungry as ever they sit beside a fire discussing the events to come. In particular the curious actions of Haelphon, Elene and others of the High Council. Kalenz sits before the fire, leaning upon a log. He watches as the fire dances and crackles, waiting for someone to speak.

Baconthief 682 Share Posted December 16, 2012 *Sits by the fire, he doesn't want to live with dwarves unless that is the very last option. He is also living right under the dwarves in a dark elven made cavern. Khel stares into the fire and watches the flames dance*

Supremacy 3361 Author Share Posted December 16, 2012 "I find it highly distasteful that we have resided with these short... greedy... brutes..." Kalenz shivers at the thought before looking back to the fire. "And still the issue of governance is yet to be decided."
Baconthief 682 Share Posted December 16, 2012 *Calmly nods his head. His dark skinned blending in with the darkness around him, only being shown when the light flickers and illuminates his face to reveal his two juxtaposed pair of eyes* "The mali are in disarray, scattered, split, weaker than ever. It is a shame what has become of us. And yet your people Kalenz, the mali'aheral, do not yet have a place to reside. Malinor chose to live among bortu, where is it you chose?" Igneberr 46 Share Posted December 16, 2012 Does not sit by the fire but sits in his house he built stubbornly waiting for the Elves to return to the original spot so he does not need to abandon his newly built home.
Orlanden 33 Share Posted December 16, 2012 *Sits among his people, poking at the fire* There is no issue of governance. Malinor has the same government as it always has, since the beginning. Elene, Haelphon, and Dante are committing treason agains the Nation. Also, this island is a temporary stop. There is no way the entirety of Asulon could reside on this small island from now on...not to mention, the environment does not even come close to the place I saw in my vision. The place we will call home in the end. And please, be nice to our Dwarven allies. They gave us refuge when we did not have it ourselves. I assure you this is the safest place for us to be. Emberhard's ship with him, Bravepaw, and Oceas should arrive tonight or tomorrow. Brave is keeping contact via carrier birds. They were not far behind. Things will be back in good order then. *Sighs and lays down next to the fire as he marvels at the stars before attempting to fall asleep.* Have faith, my friends. Have faith. Supremacy 3361 Author Share Posted December 16, 2012 "You ask us to have faith in a situation we know nothing about llir. As for the Mali'aheral, it seems for a time we will follow our mali'ame cousins. Not out of volition but rather out of necessity due to the small nature of this island. Indeed, there is barely a piece of land remaining on this pile of dirt which remains unclaimed... As Mr. Sylvari and I so unfortunately found out. Though that is just my prediction, the true will of the mali'aheral is unknown to me." Kalenz shifts in his seat uneasily, revealing a small book, a curious iron mask and 2 vials for a brief moment. "Regardless, your alliance with the Bortu has never made me feel at ease. During the final months of Asulon it cost us Haelun'or. It seems all this new Hieal'mali has brought the Mali'aheral is loss with their alliance."

Lafthi Sylvari 12 Share Posted December 16, 2012 *Lafthi stands up from the pillar he had been leaning against, making his face and identity evident for the first time since listening to what had been said.* "Aye, I agree our situation is less than ideal. However, it seems it may be necessary for the time being. It seems this... rather small... island, is our home for now. A home of which every square foot of forest, desert, coastline and plain has been claimed. Additionally, we have the threat of this volcano lurking over our heads. It seems living with the dwarves, while distasteful for now, may be our best option. It seems we are in their debt. With that resolved we must truly discuss how our government will form. With my utmost respect, I disagree with you Prince Orlanden, there is an issue of governance. The High Elves and the Elves of Malinor have both expressed interest in reuniting and rightly so. In Asulon we were often working against each other more often than we worked alongside each other. This, as we have all come to realize within the last few months, cannot continue to happen. It is not only a detriment to Malinor of the High Elves, but all Mali in general. Indeed, even today it seemed that we were acting as two separate groups, each trying to find a way to control the other, to become the ruler of the Mali. This my friends, is an utter waste of elven energy, will and talent. We must redirect all of this into becoming one people again, and not trying to control the other. Until that time, nothing will happen. However, for this to happen, we must find a working form of government that is agreed upon by all Mali, and not just by one group. With this in mind, I would hope that the Silver and the High Council would willingly come together to reunify our broken people, as it is not only the will of our two peoples to become one, but our greatest chance at a brighter future." Supremacy 3361 Author Share Posted December 16, 2012 As Kalenz listens to Lafthi his eyes remain fixed on the fire for an extended period. A small flower sits in his hand. Suddenly, he twitches once and as Lafthi finishes speaking and similar and small fiery flower appears to extend from the campfire which the elves are congregated around. The flower flickers as it grows, strangely it appears to give of neither light to illuminate anything but itself nor heat. The illusion stretches slightly up into the air for an instant more, before dissipating back into nothing. Satisfied, Kalenz glances back to the crowd and returns to idly listening to the chatter. Lafthi Sylvari 12 Share Posted December 16, 2012 *Lafthi looks at the brief bit of magic with a nod of approval.* "So Kalenz, was that beautiful bit of magic there an answer of some kind? Forgive me, I am not too good with riddles."
