Damien Darkstalker grew up in a small village north of Oren. He was being constantly beaten by his drunken relatives and the children who lived in the village alongside him. He put up with this hell for a long time, even taking up a job as a servant to the chieftain so as to pay for his family and maybe make them see that he was not a target for abuse. During his time as a servant, he had to go on many errands. During one of his errands into the forest to collect roots and berries, he met a runt wolf pup. Seeing himself in its beaten, whimpering form, he adopted it as his own. He kept it in the forest and visited it often to train it and make sure it was doing well. He found this kind of training easy now, as he had been doing vigorous physical training since he became a servant, a good 6 years ago. Through some misfortune, his parents found out about the wolf. They went into the forest and killed it, with no reason but to make their sons life a misery. This was the last straw for Damien; they may hurt him, but not the only thing he held dear. He bought a sword from the village blacksmith and murdered each and every one of them. Survivors of this incident saw him dipping his neck-collar into the blood of the fallen, like it was some kind of trophy or ritual. He was only 16 years old at the time, and nobody expected him to do anything like this. After this event, he vanished, leaving behind all of his possessions and a bloody mess.

Many years later, the name 'Damien' began to crop up all over the place. He went to various villages, challenging the strongest warrior there to a duel to the death. He won every time, without a scratch on his body. He became known as 'The Executioner' for the gruesome ceremony he performed after he killed someone, dipping his neck-collar into their blood and beheading their body. After a while, the Holy Oren Empire took notice to his misdeeds, and sent their top assassins after him so as to remove him from Asulon. Not one of them was heard from again. Instead, there was news of this 'Damien' becoming a mercenary for hire. No body was quite sure why, but it seemed that having assassins sent after him affected him deeply, and changed him for the better. The Holy Empire took interest in him yet again, this time hiring him for his epic combat abilities. He went along with them, keeping his disgusting rituals all the same. There he remains to this day, at least, until he gets a higher bidder for his 'services'...
