In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is: Power-emoting is when one acts upon another (usually in a hostile or a frowned upon action) without the approval of the other player.

In-Character Details

Character Name: Khuzdul

Character Race: Dwarf

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary:

Khuzdul would be considered a lost name, but i'll get back to that. His father, Karud Bar, was a people's man. He was a prospector in Karik known as honorable, and quite the haggler. Khuzdul would spend the days sharpening rocks as his father worked in mountains. He would be the one dwarf that you would see wandering for stones instead of following in his fathers footsteps. Most that saw him would say he was a relaxed dwarf, his beard was minuscule and his hair was always well kept, braided with onyx opals. Many believed he would be shunned before he was even two seasons old. Instead of an axe, he shot a bow, he perplexed his father every time he looked at him. He was feeble, no muscle, but he had a mind.

Over the years Khuzdul surprisingly grew, and his father had quite the ego himself. Karud Bar decided to join the militia, and after more years of labor, he was quite an esteemed officer. As Khuzdul sat in his room stringing a bow, a messenger (Tal Kabur to be exact) came to Khuzdul. He stressed that there was an orc raid on the human caravan his father was protecting that was heading for Normandor. Yes, Khuzdul's father survived, but at the price of his name. Many thought of him as a coward as he fled from the field where fathers, brothers, and husbands died. Dwarves turned their heads when they saw him and moved on. For years he was humiliated, driven mad by loss of his life, and Khuzdul went down with him. His father left Karik, leaving Khuzdul to himself. Few sometimes will tell the tale of old Karud Bar on a quite night in the tavern, they still say he wanders aimlessly hoping for a new start. Not too long after his fathers disappearance, Khuzdul fled, hoping to escape his past.

Twice has Khuzdul been seen since then, those who see him wish not to start a story. Many believe his face on the battlefield is another bad omen. The few that saw him have noted that his hair is rugged and slate black, his eyes glow burning amber filled with sorrow and spite. His beard, now much longer lies unkempt. They say his bow is still with him, a quiver of arrows at his belt, an axe sheathed on his right side, and a cloak pulled loosely over his head. He is five seasons old, a sturdy, outgoing, and intelligent dwarf, who has heard the calls for help, he needs to rejoin the world, and he is on his way.

What are your characters ambitions?: Retribution against the orcs that ruined his name, and to find his father.

Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here: http://i674.photobucket.com/albums/vv108/deedle113/Khuzdulpic_zps870539ba.jpg

Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: No, the biography explained enough for the most part.

Open-Response-Questions

Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? I approach the dwarf and greet him as if we are already friends. I would proceed to check out his wares, and buy whatever sounds most pleasing to me no matter what he is selling. Afterwards I would ask him if he is need of any assistance from cleaning, supplies, or advertising his trade. I would give him pointers on how to sell his goods, then thank him for his service. I'd would ask "Surely a fellow kinsmen would rather be in a dwarven environment, why not travel along with me and we can venture to Karik?" If he says no, then before I leave, I would hand him some gold and wish him good luck.

You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? I would never leave another dwarf to the brutality of an orc, it's a disgrace to our name. I would not give the orc a chance as I creep up behind him for he wouldn't give me one either. I grab the orc by the throat and take him down "What business do you have with the dwarf" I exclaim. As I speak he reaches for his weapon, I strike him in his head with the bottom of my axe, knocking him out cold. "Are you alright?" I would ask my fellow dwarf, then strip the orc of his weapons, tie him up, and leave him for whoever passes by. I will then stay with my kinsmen until he is fully recuperated and doesn't need my aid.

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?: Thieves are common, and I cannot just leave this man to be killed or sacked. I ask him "Are you alright?" as I carefully sit him up and check for weapons. I then proceed to ask him if he needs anything and break off a branch of a nearby tree to carve as a new walking stick. If there are no trees, I will carry or assist the man all the way to Malinor, no matter the cost. I scoop up his bag and hand it back to him. I then travel with him all the way to Malinor, for you never know what you'll run into.

Your application has been...

Accepted!

There's some powergaming in the second Open Response Question, being able to defeat the Orc so easily. Remember that they are large and difficult to defeat in combat.

The server is currently set in the world of Elysium, introduced after Asulon fell. If you have any questions getting oriented you can ask on the forums, in-game or send me a PM.

Welcome to the Lord of the Craft! Please wait patiently for a GM to whitelist you.
