In-Character Details

Character Name: Dvari Steel-Anvil

Character Race: Dwarf

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: Dvari was born into the clan of the Steel-Anvils, who dwelled deep in the mountains. He was taller and stronger than most Dwarves and smarter too. His clan taught him the principles of Loyalty, Bravery, and Respect. After becoming a master smith he yearned for adventure so at the age of 32 he became a mercenary for the king of Arethor and later worked for Renatus. It was at around this time that he heard of Thorik's assasination.During his stay with the humans he also learned of the many festivals which were celebrated around Asulon, his favorite becomes the Black moon festival.

He fought in a great many battles and earned his experience in tears and blood.Yet during the plague he lost the use of one of his eyes and he was also left horribly disfigured which is why he wears a red, black and yellow cloak over his body which is covered in runes to protect him from anymore pestilence(Dvari also wears this cloak since it strikes fear into any of his enemies hearts). After a decade he returned to his home only to find it looted and destroyed. He searched amongst the ruins and found his old Smithy. It was here, amidst the ruins, that Dvari forged his ax: “Kan’Kazal” the orc bane.He traveled around the land of Asulon and saw the ruins of the silver city. At the age of 42 Dvari set out to join the Goldhand clan, and hopes to build a fortress like no other. He hopes that the bringing of the new world (Elysium) shall herald a new dawn for him.

What are your characters ambitions?: To build and guard a mighty dwarven fortress.

Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here:post-56170-0-36396000-1357313101_thumb.p

Open-Response-Questions

Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? Mei: Hail, brother! What do you happen to be selling? Vendor: (sighs)Nothing much, just pots and pans. Me: Well I will buy 2 pots, 7 pieces of iron and a pan. Vendor: Really?? Well that will be 20 Minas. Me: Take this along with the money (hands him a diamond) Vendor: I can’t accept this, sir. Me: Don’t worry, I have a few more, and I like helping fellow dwarves. The vendor calls out from his shop: Thank you!!

You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? (I walk next to the other dwarf) Me: I would not do that if I were you. Orc: What you gonna do? Hit me?(laughs). Me: Only where it hurts. (The orc’s grin disappears and he pulls out his sword) Orc: Why you little... (he swings and misses) (Both enemies circle each other and shout insults) Orc: You stupid, ugly midget (He swings again, the sword bounces off my mail.) Me: Your mom must have slept with a mangy, no eared dog to make you! Probably liked it!( The orc falls for the trick and in a rage charges me, in one clean motion my axe is speeding toward him, he tries dodgingbut is too slow and is soon bleeding to death) Me: All orcs, fall for that trick.(Turns around and hands the other dwarf an axe) Me: I always carry an extra one, don’t worry. Dwarf: Thank you for saving me! I was sure I was going to die! Me: No problem, we dwarves have to stick together.

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?: I help the man up to a nearby fence so he can lean on it. As he stares at me I collect all the Minas and return them to him, along with the bag which I stitch together. I then walk of into the forest and use my ax to make him a new sturdier walking stick. Me: You should never carry an elven stick(points to the broken cane) they can’t seem to do anything right. Well, I’m off. Old Man: Goodbye, may your beard grow ever longer kind one!

Although this was a very, very good first attempt, there are two things you have to change. The skin needs changing, primarily the face, that hood isn't appropriate considering there are no creepers in LoTC. Also, you powergamed when dealing with the Orc in the second ORQ. Change those and you have a very good application

Remember to wait 24 hours and PM me if you have any questions.
