Lynesse {Celia/Jazzy} 398 Share Posted January 8, 2013 Dalia approaches the board and frowns, seeing her note removed. She quickly takes out a quill, writes another note, and leaves it there. The last paragraph is written as if someone was shaking, with anger. To whoever took down my note, and the others reading this, You think your culture will protect you from the threat of invaders. You are wrong. The belief that you are superior will not save you from kidnappings, murders, thefts, and the concept of war. But, war is not started for the mere idea of land and power. It is started to prove who is superior. One side thinks they are being told that they're inferior, so they attack the other side. This only leads to more conflict. This is what happens when Mali'aheral meet those they think are inferior. The Mali'aheral always do this when they see the Uruks or Valah. They judge those they see by what they look like, and not what's inside. That's what matters, you numbskulls! You never see this. Your ways, unless they change, will only lead to more conflict. Safety is not something that a gate and a few racial exclusions can keep. Your false sense of security is only because you are a part of Malinor, so the Council is obliged to protect the Mali'aherals. The only thing that will come on the wing of future, is the feather of death. - Blue Raven Your argument is laughable as it is flawed. You claim that we judge by what we see on one's exterior features? I like to believe that we judge upon pure fact instead. Have you not read the history books in the library, hm? The silver city of Haelun'or was pillaged by orcs years ago. To accept such beasts with open arms who have an innate feature for bloodlust would be as sensible as letting a pack of timberwolves into your house. Their natural instinct is to kill which presents a direct danger to maehr'sae hiylun'ehya. Surely that is much worse the the "judging" that you so clearly hold against the populace. Then again, what could I expect from someone who believes that the mindless game of killing dubbed war is a way to prove superiority. Have the started to let in orcs already? Heed a wanderer's words. Stag 3231 Share Posted January 8, 2013 *Iatrilemar approaches the board, standing to the side, watching as Dalia scribbles her note. After she strides away he approaches her note and reads it carefully. After reading it he furrows his brow, scratching his head. He mumbles to himself* "Did she not understand my note at all? *Iatrilemar begins to scribble on a smaller piece of paper* This is a direct response to the Blue Raven who by their account is to remain under an undisclosed identity. I ask of you two questions Blue Raven. The first would be if you actually lived in the Mali'Aheral district. If the answer is no then I would beg you to come forth with information regarding a breach in our security. If the answer is yes then I ask you my second question. Why do you claim purity if you seek to compromise it? Why do you live among a culture that you don't even refer to as your own. You stated within the first sentence that it was, and I quote, "your culture." If you wish to disconnect yourself from the Mali'Aheral by all means do so. However if you are indeed that of pure blood and you wish to live with your brothers and sisters then you must change your behavior. Sneaking around, placing discreet notes, hiding the author of these thoughts. This behavior leaves dry air around your opinions. It discredits them before the mind can consider them. Hide not behind your shallow curtain and speak your mind openly like the rest of us. Otherwise you forfeit your argument, even if it is as careless and naive as it is. You say we judge the Urukan by what they look like and not what they are on the inside. I calmly ask you to read my previous note once more. I also would present another question. Would you think you would be accepted into a Urukan tribe? I tell you no. They would laugh and likely slaughter you on the spot. They see our race, as well as any other race in our world to be inferior to them, yet they expect all other races to accept them into their own culture. They accept brutality and strength. Only the strong survive in their culture. They don't value knowledge as we do, and the only reason they seek entrance into our city is so they may taunt and harass us to show they are dominant. You said we would only bring death to ourselves for locking them out. If we had not our walls our Mali'Aheral would be even more vulnerable and easy targets for them. Of course a Mali is going to find it difficult to fight a Uruk face on, literally or unilaterally. Our walls make up for that disadvantage. Our defense must outlast their offense or else we will be driven to extinction. I urge you to visit a Urukan camp if you are not pleased with my answer. -Iatrilemar Elervathar ((On an OOC note you never emoted sneaking up to the board and since Haelun'or is quite small it is very reasonable that my character would have seen Dalia writing note.))
