Definitions

In your own words, define what the act of roleplaying is:

The act of roleplaying, is when a player assumes the role of a made-up character, acting through the game as if it was their everyday life.

In your own words, define what the act of meta-gaming is:

Meta-gaming is when a player takes advantage of previously gained knowledge, to get an advantage over another player.

In your own words, define what the act of power-emoting is:

In my opinion, power emoting is when a player almost forces another player to do something, without allowing the other player to respond/act to stop it. This give players an unfair advantage over others.

In-Character Details

Character Name:

Yiel Conhan

Character Race:

Human

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary:

After about 60 years after the event of Aegis falling, a group of people from the remains of a ship moved as far from other civilizations as possible. Yiel Conhan, was the son of the strong leader of the small, remote community on the outskirts of a desert. This desert was home to a large, hostile ork settlement. Although the population fought hard to stay alive, they ran out of food constantly and was never ready for sudden ork attacks. One day, when the whole settlement decided to join a city and start a new life, Yiel's father was killed by a venomous snake whilst patrolling the area, just days before they were ready to leave. After him and his mother wept for weeks, Yiel was made leader. He told the populace, that no matter what happened, he will put himself first to defend the settlement. After years of training, surviving, and learning. Yiel became a strong and confident young man. He now sets off to find a new land for his people to thrive, destroying any orks that will get in his way.

Yiel is now at the age of 23 years old. He is a tall 6'2", with a relatively strong build. He has blue eyes with brown hair. He is the kind to rush into things too quickly, without thinking first. He is overall a friendly person, and enjoys to work alone, yet likes the presence of others. He can have quite the temper if gone without food or water for a while.

What are your characters ambitions?:

He wishes to find a new settlement for his people to live in. Maybe even find a girl along the way.

Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here:

Is there anything else you would like to say about your character:

Nope, I think I'm good this time.

Open-Response-Questions

Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?

"Hello there good sir! What is your trade? I seem to be in need of some supplies."

He responds "Hello sir! Well, we have the finest tools around! I do apologize for the high prices, I am just getting started with this new business. You will get your money's worth, I will say that!"

I respond, "Hm. These are good quality iron tools. I shall let others know of your talent! You seen to be in need of some advertising. I think your business has potential!"

He says, "Thank you sir! Now, I have a good deal going on today. If you buy a full set of iron tools, I'll throw on a nice iron chest-plate! Would you be interested?"

I think a little bit. Then tell the dwarf, "I think that will be a fair deal. Here is your full payment. Plus a little extra. Good luck to you!"

The dwarf puts the items on the counter, takes the money and says, "Good day to you! And may God bless you for all eternity!"

You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?

My character would intervene right away yelling, "Stop! Both of you! What is the meaning of such intolerable stupidity?"

The ork responds "He tried stealin' my girl at the bar! I saw him walkin' by n' remembered him! Now stay away or I'll take you out too!"

The dwarf pitches in, "Yeah, stay out o' This matter you blundering fool!"

As the dwarf charges at me, I would quickly dive away drawing my sword. I would then hit the dwarf in the back with the hilt of my sword. This knocks him down, stunned.

I then stand between them again, saying "I think this is useless for all of us. Both of you just go home. You were both most likely drunk anyway, no use in fightin' over stuff like this!"

The ork nods and walks away. The dwarf looks at me for a few seconds and walks away himself.

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenseless man. What does your character do?:

I would pick up the coins for the man, give them to him and help him up. I then ask him, "where are you going sir? Are you hurt?"

He replies, "I am, but just a few scratches. Don't worry about me. I just needed to get to my cottage about a quarter of a mile from here."

I kindly respond, "Of course sir, I'll help you get there." When we reach the cottage, I help him to a chair and cover up his wounds. He then offers me money; "You need some of this more than I do. Please take some." I deny the money and go buy him a new walking stick.

"You shouldn't bother over this. I'll be fine. Is there anything else you need?"

He says no and tells me to stay the night at his house. I kindly accept and wish him well, and leave upon morning.
