Blood By The Beach

Military and civil officials crawl around the Adunian manor. Two are conformed dead, one armored man with red hair and another main in green clothing and chain mail with brown hair.

 

The apparent first to die, the red headed man, appears to have suffered from multiple minor stab wounds and one mortal one, most having pierced his armor, as well as two cuts across his neck, one of those also appearing to have been fatal. His body rests against the wall of the first hallway inside the manor, slumped over. Blood lays splattered across the wall next to him, and pools on the dark wooden planks under him, the metallic smell of his lifeblood mixing with that of burning incense.

 

The second body lies face down on the stone just outside the first hallway, also brutally murdered, wounded by both stab and slash wounds. His blood pools under his body, little streams running down the slightly sloped stone and dripping over the top step. The bloody stone is slick, and already one person as fallen in the dead man's blood.

 

Further investigation reveals that several chests inside the manor have been unlocked and some valuables have been taken. It appears that the assailant or all assailants successfully escaped the scene... leaving no marking of identity or trace of their presence other than their brutalized (though not mutilated) victims.

Caln McHarnish had come at the end of the robbery. He had been brutally attacked and wounded if not his friend had some just in time to save him. Once he knows a face he never forgets it, and he begins to heal.
