Helvetius 314 Share Posted January 31, 2013 Constable Gerald walks into the courtyard of Salvus with his salva at his side. The courtyard itself is filled with shields, nobles, and peasants who turn their heads to Gerald. Gerald, raising his salva in front of him, speaks in a loud and clear voice while looking around the courtyard. "The penalty for thinking or going even a step in and towards treason is of such. For thy have earned it 'nd thy will agree to it willingly when he joins the Shields. Do nay let your rage towards the White Rose or others like I have make you start down the path of treason. Though, it seems like I am the only one with the courage to even take one or two steps down that path to rid the corruption and cruelty rather than keeping my "honor" and "respect". My two sons will by my only legacy after this 'nd they will choose their own paths of respect and honor or standing up and fighting to this corrupt world we live in. I now deliver my punishment instead of wasting the time of Ser Jonathan or a Judge to deliver it. Gerald sighs and grabs his salva in both hands in front of himself, and turns it so that the sharp end would point towards his chest. Looking around at the crowd, many still staring blandly at him but others beginning to look suprised or confused, he pulls the salva in towards his chest. A sickening sound erupts as the Salva pierces his chest and Gerald himself falls to the ground onto his knees, blood pooring out like a river. He lets out sickening gurgles as blood fills his lunges, some spraying out as he tries to breath. After a moment or two of absolute silence and surprise, Gerald falls over dead in the middle of the courtyard.
Avacyn 1712 Share Posted February 1, 2013 Count Marcus Briarwood looks on, and listens to the eerie silence that follows. He breaks it by snorting with laughter. "Bloody idiot. Deserved that. Good riddance to rubbish like him."
Chrome 9 Share Posted February 1, 2013 Valin watches as the constable that had first invited him to join lies dying from self-inflicted wounds. He quickly averts his eyes, and solemnly he walks to his quarters, staring emotionless at the ground. He lays on his bunk and falls asleep, wondering of what is to come.
