Jonathan Black stared forward at the wall in front of his desk in the Chapter of the Lion base, just thinking; an activity he found himself doing often these days. It had been several months since Elizabeth Silverblade was murdered, and he still wasn't able to get over it. His mind simply replayed what happened when he found the body over and over, almost never giving him rest. The only time it didn't happen, it seemed, was when he was busy with something else. Externally, not showing the pain was something he had gotten used to from other experience; internally, it was a difficult thing to control. Little seemed to help. First, he tried the usual - killing; mostly of orcs. This didn't help, so he turned to alcohol - not too much, and never too often, but this seemed to fail as well. As a final, desperate last resort, he visited the brothel. This still did nothing; in fact, the overwhelming guilt coming from the visit only made the situation worse. He had taken a turn for the worse, aside from this. He suffered from what could only be described as a hellish headache on what seemed to be a daily basis. His temper flared more often then it should, and several had already fallen victim to this; friends, acquaintances, and more. Indeed, most things about him could currently be considered to be in a state of decline.

He had tried replacing her, certainly. The only problem was that no woman seemed to be quite good enough, with some exceptions, but those were out of his reach for a variety of reasons, whether it be simple disinterest on their part or outright refusal to court him. The rejection he received from the last person he asked only served to fuel the growing anger at his circumstances boiling within him.

Jonathan got up from his seat and traveled to the grave of Elizabeth by the waterfall in Elysium. The place where he met her, and the place where they had officially become engaged. As he stared at the ground where her coffin was, an odd thought came to him. Did death necessarily have to be permanent? If her life was taken before it was time, was it truly a crime to try to fix the wrong? Some would call it heresy, but was it? No. It was simply fixing the evil that had been done and returning things to the way they should've been. No one asked her if she wished to be killed. He gave the grave a solid nod before returning to the docks and boarding the ship back to Kalos.

He had made up his mind. No matter what it took, Elizabeth Silverblade -would- walk the Earth again.

Yeah. VA update probably coming soon. More may be added to this post in time, including an explanation of what that title means..

Elizabeth Silverblade lay in her coffin. Her life wasted to petty perfumes and ridiculous drama. Never did she feel accomplished and never did she want anything more than a purpose. She was so close to it with Jonathan, but the opportunity had been snatched from her by sudden death. So now she lay in her coffin, by all the good memories, her eyes wide open with death, and the will for revenge. The pretty girl lay there motionless, though her presence much alive and rather compelling and frightening. Her silver eyes seem to gleam with hate, just as they were before death.
