Posted on a notice board in Oren, you notice a large poster nailed to the wood.

 

Leftenbürg Job Spots:

Peasantry
This is the official laborer force of the city of Leftenbürg. They gather materials for the architects to begin constructing the great city. This is one of the most necessary forces of the city.

Lumberjack:
Lumberjacks cut down the trees of the area, and supply the city with wood for construction, though the majority of the city will be accomplished with stone, the navy will need the wood for ship building. Lumberjacks are to be paid 25 minas an elven week and 50 minas for each bag of wood.

Miners:
Miners, work day and night underneath the city, they are paid from the city's coffers to mine any precious minerals and stone for the construction of the city and the Schatzkammer (Treasury). They are paid 25 minas an elven week and 25 minas for every bag of stone. Prices for precious minerals will vary.

Farmers:
These feed the city, and bring their goods and foods to the Elven Weekly farmers market. At the farmers market many different foods can be found, from the well known and starchy potato to the sweet and watery melon. These farmers feed the general laborer of the city of Leftenbürg.

There are no spots technically available as this is a side job that can be chosen if one decides to rent out land, I can promise all the citizens thinking about becoming farmer, I promise you good sales at the farmers market.

die Uhr (The Watch)
The official arm of justice and protection over the city of Leftenbürg. These men watch over the city and keep it's people safe. These consist of citizens. Each and every citizen must spend three ((RP)) months within the watch. ((Three IRL days.)) The roster will rotate, and each watchman will be picked. Slots will be open based on how many residents there will be within the city. The captains and sergeant slots will be open, this will be a permanent job. The entire watch is headed by the Wachtmeister. All Sergeants will be paid 75 minas an elven week. The captain shall be paid 100 minas an elven week. Sergeants are given a bunk in the barracks, and the captain is given a house.

The Navy of Leftenbürg is the head of it's entire military and sails the mighty beasts of war, to keep the seas bordering Leftenbürg safe. They destroy any pirate vessels which dare trespass into Leftenbürgians seas. The current plan for the navy is to boast one Corvette, if in fact there is a demand for further construction then we will fill it. Officers are paid 75 minas an elven week, Crew are paid 50 minas an elven week.

Architects
This are the architects of the grand city. These will be paid magnificent amounts for each building. The city of Leftenbürg trusts the architecture of the entire city to these. Sometimes paid up to 5,000 minas, they can easily be paid much more. Due to planned size of the city itself. We will have many and many slots for Architects. These men will have to go through an interview with the Grand Bürgermeister. ((Requires skype)) In the interview, the architect needs to bring sketches of his previous work. ((Screenshots required.)) Leftenbürg Marketplace

The Leftenbürg markets will be a gathering to buy and sell goods, it will happen every Elven week. ((Saturday, 6 P.M. EST.)) All farmers and tradespeople willing to buy a stall in the weekly farmer's market, must pay for the stall beforehand and register your name ((and MC name)) and what stall you would wish to purchase. You must be required to pay in full to the Schatzmeister or the Grand Bürgermeister. The farmer's market will be open for every single person. We are not responsible for the goods sold at the farmer's market and will not be held liable for any rotten or poisonous foods.

Housing and Shops
As the details of the housing of Leftenbürg are being discussed, we will have houses for sale. House owners must be citizens of Leftenbürg unless said so by the Schatzmeister or the Grand Bürgermeister. We will do taxes every Elven week on each household. When purchasing the household, the residents must state their annual income. Every ((RP)) year we will do a poll on their annual income, if the household's annual income is 5,000 minas or higher. Then you will be taxes 10% less than the average rate. A shop's income will be fairly standard on the type of profession.

 

Leftenbürg Merchant Guild

The Leftenbürgian Merchant Guild is the main guild of Leftenbürg. This is the meeting place for all the merchants across Leftenbürg, and even across Oren. One of the grandest buildings, it boasts places to conduct trade, give tips and even just a staying place for any guild member. Guild members get 10% off port tax, as well as getting full protection from the Leftenbürgian Navy. The guild supports the rights of the merchants within the city of Leftenbürg. This has been created to provide a hub for merchants and make it so Leftenbürg becomes a large trading center for all of the humans.

 

 

Leftenbürgian Stradtrat (Means City Council)

 

Grand Bürgermeister: The city is headed by the Grand Bürgermeister. His job is to manage the city in all capacity. He is elected by the cabinet which also vote for different laws concerning, taxes, trade and religious affairs. The cabinet can decide to vote for something, if they do so, then the Bürgermeister has complete final say. If the bürgermeister wishes to implement a reform, then it must be passed by the cabinet. The vote can never be denied, if the cabinet does not pass it then it will lie in consideration until the Grand Bürgermeister takes it off the board of consideration.

 

Current Bürgermeister: Vlad of Nectar

 

Großkanzler: This means Grand Chancellor in Hanseatic and heads the cabinet. He is also the head of foreign diplomacy and if needed to be sent to a foreign nation then the Großkanzler will be sent as the head of the diplomatic envoy. If talks need to be discussed with the Grand Bürgermeister himself, then they must come to the city of Leftenbürg to talk to him personally to avoid any assassination attempts. Nonetheless two Grand Bürgermeisters were assassinated within the Großkanzler's presence. 

 

Current Großkanzler: Karl von Wüllersleben

 

Schatzmeister: This means treasurer in Hanseatic and is a senior office within the cabinet. He is the head of the Grand Bürgermeister's finances which means that this position works closely with the Grand Bürgermeister. The holder of this position would also be the head of tax collection throughout the city. If one fails to pay their taxes then they are evicted from their land. Many a time, some corrupt Grand Bürgermeisters used nepotism as a way of getting a Schatzmeister as the Schatzmeister works very closely with the Grand Bürgermeister. Once in the history of this position, it was held in commission to avoid corruption but soon this was abolished voted to be abolished by a Hansetian Grand Bürgermeister in favor that there should be one man to hold the entire office.

Großadmiral: This means Grand Admiral in Leftenbürgian. This is the 4th most senior position in the cabinet. This position has a considerable amount of prestige as it is nearly the head of defense for the entire city. This position is tasked with the city's navy which is the main blockade stopping it from an amphibious assault should an invasion occur. The navy also led merchant ships safely into the port, they also kept the surrounding seas free from pirates.

Wachtmeister: This means Head of the Watch in Hanseatic and is the 5th most and 1st least senior position within the cabinet. The holder of this position's duty is to keep crime out of the alleyways of Leftenbürg. This position did not exist until the 4th Grand Bürgermeister, Karl von Orslen who needed someone to manage the military and town watch. As the Leftenbürg never attacked any nations in favor of a peaceful approach, the watch became Leftenbürg's military, majority of the watch are bürgers that must serve for a period of time.

Leftenbürgian Elections

The elections of Leftenburg is an important part to Leftenburg in upholding it's originality of it's government form. After the death of second mayor of New Leftenburg, the remainders of the government have decided to post applications for possible candidates. The council will choose two candidates and move on to the next portion of the elections and allow people to vote. You can now vote for who you want to be mayor! Elections are now closed until the mayor resigns or dies.

Günther von Wüllersleben was strolling down the gravel road, when he noticed his poster was covered in blood. He quickly tore down the poster and replaced it with a brand new one.

An imperial guardsman trots down the road, catching sight of the fresh poster. Curious, he stops up in his stride, taking a quickened step foward to examine the fluttering parchment. His eyebrows lift amusedly as he scans over the bloodstained message, briskly resuming the patrol route thereafter. As he trails off the utterance, "Tha's tu domn edg'eh fer me," escapes the soldier's lips.

Günther strolls past the poster once again, he lets a frown curve down his face as he reads the message. He nails a piece of paper over the note. He stands back, fairly satisfied with the fact that he didn't rip down the odd man's writings.

Günther unpinned the note and unfolded it, he quickly scanned through the application with a nod, but noticing that he hadn't picked a job he shrugged and carried the note to his house. At his house, Günther scanned over it once again then quickly got out a vat of ink and a quill. He started scratching out a response, he walked back to the board and pinned a response, it reads.

 

"Delzio, you have been accepted into the Leftenbürg military, as you have not filled out which job you would like I am giving you the job of Sergeant of Archery. Your job as Sergeant of Archery is to teach the conscripts how to wield a bow as well as leading your squad in the field of battle. Thank you and I hope this letter reaches you safely."

Drikk grew up at the Frostbeards clan hall, here he learnt the right skills to go out and brave the world, he can be very understanding but maybe too understanding at times, Drikk now roams about helping out here and there, doing his bit for society, but deep down Drikk knows his life must have more meaning then this.

Gunther walks by the new noticeboard he posted it on and raises a brow upon seeing another application. Gunther quickly unpins the application and reads through it with a slight nod. He pastes the seal of acceptance on it and pins it back to the board, he writes a little side note.

 

"Octavio Adrianus, you have been accepted into the navy! You are to be the captain of the HMS Heinrich, I did see some information about shipbuilding. It would be an honor to have you as a captain, though it seems that you would have to build the ship yourself.
