Leaves Don't Go Away!

So, I have a problem. Whenever I chop down trees in the wilds (I assume it's the wilds...), the leafs don't leave (No pun intended). I cut down every single wood log there is, along with the logs from surrounding trees, and they're still there even after a long time... Any idea as to why this happens?

I believe leaf decay is off, although I'm not sure why.

Leave decay is off as it was causing problems with the giant trees built around the world and causing them to decay. You need to cut the leaves away yourself.
