You notice upon your walk around Oren, a note, tall and written in fine, tearful ways. it is posted on each gate, each entry, and each differing slightly in writing. Each carrying the same message.

"What are we but the sum of our parts, is something you might hear often.. But more to life is that. We are far more, beyond that and above. We are what we do, our actions and our capacity for compassion. Our love, our kindness.. We have lost this along the way, and misguided hate has blinded you all. I have healed many, but none in mind. You do not see what is wrong, you do not see what is infront of you. You see the hate, the dark, the ever engrossing hate. You are embraced by it, and you never let go.. Why? Because. It makes you feel powerful. It makes you feel a man beyond others..

The Mali' leave this world, as they shall, and you pay for it. Hidden behind the 'edgy'? No idea what that word means.. Master assassins  and pointy eared Valah', there was knowledge, wisdom, and kindness. You saw what you will, and you did this out've your own misguided hate. I can say simply, in my own right.

I forgive you.

Whatever concelation when you meet your maker and he casts you into whatever hell you have, I forgive you. For the crimes, the atrocities  I leave with the other elves, and with all of our leaving's, comes a hole in the world, never to be filled. Remember that. Remember the fact one of the Mali' saw past your horrible nature, and saw misguided young beginnings. Take our leaving with one message, take it dearly.. You must all grow up if you want to reach your potential. Take my heed, Valah.'..

Signed, dearly,

Jaehaerys, former head monk of the Triumvirate."

*sighs as he looks at the note "Why has it come to this? I wish the elves could live happily with us then our world would be a better place....

He then writes something on one of the gates "You may forgive us but I dont think we can forgive ourselves"

Jonathan Black rolls his eyes at the note.

"Nothing encourages improvement like telling us what fecking children we are and how immature we are compared to the almighty, wise elves.

The elves who attacked Oren nobles when they were peacefully visiting Malinor.

The elves who broke the Dwarven trade embargo with the Orcs and tried to get Oren and the Orcs to attack the Dwarves.

The elves who assaulted the Emperor's son, and the Grand Knight's wife, and Oren's diplomat to them."

"Idiots." He says flatly. "They've brought this upon themselves."

Standing in front of the gate, Damien glances at the note, a grin forming his lips. He orders the scribe to get him some paper just before sitting down on the cold stone of the fountain edge, enjoying sunshine. The scribe returns, bringing him ink and paper. Damien begins to write his note, finishing it with haste. Without saying anything, he takes the note, gives it to the scribe and points at the stone entry of Salvus, gesturing the scribe to pin it there. It says:

"We offered them reforms, we even met with their High Council, we were going to help them stabilize their economy and bring back Minas. Salvus, at least, did what it could to save the Elves from their now inevitable fate, we gave the ones who left Malinor in order to live a peaceful life a home in Salvus, we accepted them and showed them our kindness.

And in return, some old monk now feels like accusing us of being misguided? I ask that you remain civil and not generalize us a whole, for Salvus is different than it's older brother, the militaristic Oren. If anything, point fingers at those who come to destroy Malinor, not the ones who tried to save it.

I am not going to have anyone rip down this note for you are granted the freedom of speech unlike in Malinor, however we do not appreciate the fact that you seem to entirely forget what kind of positive things we achieved, not just for us but for you, the Elves, as well ever since we arrived in this realm.

~ Prince Damien Horen-Hightower"

A bald man passes by the note, and he stops to read it. He spits, and mutters under his breath as he walks away.

"Nothing we do is misguided. For the Emperor is guided by the Creator, and He can do no wrong. A pity... they thought they could look down upon us, throw insults and jeers at our inferiority, and not suffer. And now they finally realize that they were not invulnerable, that they have brought their own house down upon themselves. And so, unable to face their own mess, they have left, condemning their brethren in the process. For the sake of the many long ears who remain, I hope their next council does not tread on so many toes."
