The Bears of the North

History:

 

Long ago in the Northern mountains of Aegis, Harren, son of Horen, lead the great Harrenite tribe on a quest to conquer all others. Along his path Harren encountered the elven tribe of Sarai, and after a long, bitter war the two tribes put down their arms and mixed blood. The creation of this mix was the Adunian race, and the family of Harren would rule it for many years to come. At the beginning of the third Adunian era, Harren's family was given an official name by his great great grandson. The ruling Adunian clan became known as the Elendils, and were lead by a singular Clan Elder. The Elendils were the glue that kept the Adunian clans united over the ages, and when they fell to the undead in Old Ildon, the clans-people were scattered. Only when Halboron and Artorus Elendil rose from the ashes to reunite their clan did the Adunia begin to regain strength. The Elendil Clan have always lead the Adunia, and will continue to do so until a time when there is no Adunia left to rule.

 

Heirlooms:

 

-Durendal, the sword of the Adunian Lord, passed from father to youngest son when he turns seventeen.

-The Circlet of Harren, the crown forged for Harren in ancient times by his father Horen, passed down from Adunian Lord to heir upon coronation.

-Grimcrest, the sword of Halboron Elendil, passed down from father to heir.

-The Coat of Cirimas, the coat worn by the founder of the Adunian Rangers Cirimas Elendil, passed down from previous owner to whoever he sees fit.

-Clan Elendil maintains an Ildonian Age influence, hence having a Clan Elder rather than a Clan Chief and using more modern armour, weapons and clothing.

Appearance and Traits:

 

Elendils always have either dark grey or black hair, accompanied by grey, green or brown eyes. They are rarely much taller than the average human male and have light coloured skin. Elendils are commonly reasonably intelligent, but there are the odd  few that are of below average. Elendils are usually much slower to anger than most Adunians, and have more political minds due to their many centuries of leadership. Like all pure-blooded Adunians, Elendils tend to live to around 180.

Short Character Bio: Only a few short minutes after Kay was born, his father, then Artorus Hightower, sent him away to be the pretend son of a friend, Galendar Aveere. Kay was raised to believe that he was an Aveere, until the recent death of his father who had now taken the name Elendil. Kay was brought back from the Aveere family to join his mother as a proper Adunian.

Short Character Bio:

 

Hadrianus Elendil, more often called Hadrian for sake of brevity, is of the lawful good alignment. He believes in justice and mercy as two forces that can work together, rather than necessarily conflicting. He is a non-practicing member of the official church of Oren, and as such believes in a single creator God. His unfamiliarity with the religion, however, keeps him from denouncing those of other belief systems. Hadrian's sense of loyalty is split between his relatives in Oren and his relatives in the Adunian community, but he currently resides within Oren's borders. Despite this, he is loyal to the Adunian King above all else, and this loyalty has played and will  play an increasing role in his development.
