Role-playing: Taking a role of a character other than yourself.
Meta-gaming: Performing an action that your character cannot perform under normal circumstances.
Power-emoting: Forcing an action upon another player without consent.

In-Character Information:
Complete the following biography on your character:

Full Name: Isil'thorne
Current Age:285
Sub-race (if any): Wood Elf
Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): I was a happy child, living with my parents in a huge tree. When I was eight, my father took it upon himself to teach me archery and fishing. First, we fished. Every morning, at dawn, we'd go to the lake and fish until noon. Whatever we caught, we released back into the lake. We did that for a year, and then he taught me archery. First, I was shooting at targets 10 yards away. When I got really good at that, it was moved to 20 yards, then 30 yards, then 40 yards. After I became good at the 40 yard targets, my dad came back to twenty yards and threw small targets in the air for me to hit. This then moved to 30 yards, and then 40. After three years, I could get the bull's eye on the 40 yard moving targets 90 percent of the time. When I was 17, my father died of disease. It is still unknown what disease killed him.

At 30, I got a job as a hunter and a forager, getting all sorts of food from the forests. Life was good, doing what I loved for a living. However, at age 118, I stopped and decided to learn to do something new. I found a job as a miner under a dwarf by the name of Lorgrith. I wasn't as good at mining as a dwarf, but wasn't too bad, either. I mined and I mined, until I returned to hunting and foraging at age 198, which is what I do to this day.
Ambitions for the Future: I hope to achieve something better than what I have and to lead a nice, well-purposed life. I want nothing more than that.
Personality: Enthusiastic about life, needing not much more than the company of a few neighbors and long walks in the woods to stay happy.
Skills: Archery, Fishing, Mining
Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): The screenshot will be provided as a comment later today when I take one. I have tan skin and dirty blonde hair. Edit: A pic's up.
Any other details you wish to share about your character: I am friendlier to humans and dwarves than most elves, but still prefer to stay with my own kind.

Open-Response-Questions
Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point.
____

1. As you walk through the deep forests you hear the sound of whispering and snickering. Upon inspection you realize that a group of High Elves are mocking a small Wood Elf child. How do you react?

Answer: Walking up behind the High Elves, I say, "Just what do you think you all are doing, picking on that poor Wood Elf over there?" "We're too good for you Wood Elves. You better leave, or you'll pay," says the tallest of the group, presumably the leader. "Are you so sure about that?" I ask, as I pull out the knife I always carry with me. "Look, we weren't looking for any real trouble," the leader says, looking a little shocked at me pulling out the knife. "You better stop picking on him, okay? Stop it," I say, putting away the knife. Turning to the Wood Elf they were picking on, I say, "Come with me for a little walk. It'll take those guys off your mind." We walk away, immediately starting a conversation, leaving the High Elves behind.

2. Whilst wandering through the Elven forests you come across a frail old man with a walking stick. He collapses in front of you, falling to the ground with a sharp thud. Out of his pocket falls a small pouch of gold coins, which hits the ground and splits open spreading coins across the pathway. The man lies there, defenseless - what do you do?

Answer: Picking up the coins, I tell the man, "Here's the money you dropped. You can lean on my shoulder until we can get you a new walking stick." I pull him to his feet and give him the coins. "Thank you very much," he says gratefully. "I don't need any help, though. I can make it on my own." "No, I insist. At least let me walk you out of the woods." "No, it's alright. I know the way back. Thank you for the help, though," he says, handing me a few coins and hobbling away.

3. Whilst traversing the Elven Woodlands, you come across a small clearing in which a colored carriage sits. A trader stands outside of it and calls you over, telling you of his wares. He points out that his carriage sells just about everything, and that he's willing for you to haggle for a price. What does your character do? (Please include:- item, haggling for prices and the discussion involved).

Answer: "Do you have any arrows?" I ask him, knowing that I'm about to run out. "But of course! I have everything under the sun! Just name your price and whatever you need is yours," he says with a smile. "I'll take fifty arrows," I say. "What are you doing out here in the middle of the woods, anyways? Wouldn't business be better in a more populated area?" "Well," he says, "I thought that too, but it turns out you Wood Elves pass me by all the time to buy something. You're the eighth customer I've had today! Also, I like it here. The feel of nature all around me is nice. That'll be $10, by the way," he says, referring back to the arrows. I pay for the arrows and continue a conversation with the merchant. (Note: I used a dollar sign for the money because I can't remember what the monetary units in Asulon are called, can you please tell me as you review the app?)

This was a good application, but there are a few things that need work.

- Your definition of meta-gaming is incorrect. Use this guide to help you, but remember not to plagiarize! http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/45364-roleplayingmetagamingpowergaming-definitions/

- Your biography failed to include any server lore. Try to add things like city names and historical events!

As for your question, the money we use on the server is called a Mina (plural being Minas).

Please fix all that I have asked, and remember not to repost your application for 24 hours from now! If you have any questions, feel free to private message me.
