How did you hear about the the Lord of the Craft?: I was looking for a new server on minecraft and found this and remembered when i used to play on the Garry's Mod RP servers.

Definitions

Role-playing: Role-Playing is where you creat a fictional character and live your characters life for them. Or in other words step into their shoes. This server is a great example becuase you create characters that are all your own.
Meta-gaming: Meta-gaming is where you use knowledge from outside your characters knowledge to better oneself or get ahead in a situation. Example: I am walking in the forest and there is trap laid before me ,but before hand i had read about people running into these on the forums so i "just happen" to dodge said trap.
Power-emoting: This is the act of overpowering one self to unrealisticly do acts. Lets say i were hauling some logs back from my tree orchard and instead of placing one small log on my shoulders and carrying it back to my house, I would    say that i carried all the logs on my back with ease and gently putting them on the ground.

Aelvuln was born and lived in a small elven village in Malinor. Throughout his childhood Aelvuln was an only child who enjoyed roaming in the local forests with his parents permission. When aelvuln wasnt exploring the forest he would often go and look for traveling merchants in his town market place. If he was lucky enough to find one Aelvuln would then spend copious amounts of time admiring trinkets and items he had never seen before. Aelvuln's father would give him lessons in the art of martial arts and swordplay. Aelvuln thoroughly enjoyed the time in the lessons because he got to spend time with his loving father.

 

One day while in the town market place he found a merchant with a unique trinket of clothing that captivated him to no end. The trinket was a gold plate with intricate carving into the plate. The carving was that of beautiful patterns that seemed to flow like gold rivers. Aelvuln knew that he had to have this so he asked the traveling merchant how many minas this was. The merchant obviously saw the look in aelvuln's eyes and whispered

 

"Listen I can obviously see that you love this gold plate so if you dont tell anyone I can give it to you."

 

Aelvuln exploded with joy on the inside and thanked the man immensely for it and ran home with his new trinket. He then proceeded to hide this new trinket with him at all times until he knew what to do with it.

 

Ambitions for the Future: Aelvuln wishes to be an owner of a shop or be a traveling merchant so that way he can bring the same joy to others. Also he wants to move out into the bigger towns and villages in Malinor.
Personality: Aelvuln is a cheerful individual who hates to fight in general, when he has the chance he will spend his time exploring or admiring the local items in the shops.

Skills: Aelvuln is great at navigation, swordplay, and martial arts.

He wears a blue scarf covering his mouth and a Bright blue vest with black lined patters decorating it. On the bottom of the shirt there is a gold plate (oval shaped). Aelvuln also wears some simple dark blue linen pants and black shoes.

Any other details you wish to share about your character: Aelvuln had his mother sew the gold plate onto his outfit. Also had a local blacksmith engrave his family insignia engraved on the back of the plate.

Open-Response-Questions

1. As you walk through the deep forests you hear the sound of whispering and snickering. Upon inspection you realize that a group of High Elves are mocking a small Wood Elf child. How do you react?

Answer: I walk up to the child and ask "Are you hurt?" The child respondes with a sob "No, but they have insulted me." I then turn to face the snickering high elves and say " What did you do to this child he has deserved none of your harassment." The high elves scoff and one replies " We were simply helping him with his 'gathering'." Then i turn back to the child and ask " What do they mean 'gathering'?" The child starts crying and I assure him it is ok. The child then responds quietly " I was out collecting herbs and mushrooms for our family when they came up and shoved me into the ground." The high elves burst in laughter and start making ridiculous faces that I can only assume are supposed to replicate the childs as he fell. I then ask " Why would you do such a thing to a child just helping his family?" The other high elf proceeded to stop his laughing and respond " Well lets see it is none of your buisness and we do not need to discuss our reasons for 'helping' this child." The other high elf then begins to laugh at his friends mockery. I then move my hand to the hilt of my sword and say " Please apologize to this child and leave or else I will make you." The high elves  then stop laughing at my remark and draw their swords. I state "If you wish to fight then take me one on one." One high elf then replies "Very well then." The elf that spoke steps forward, we take our stances and I decide i don't wish to get harmed or harm anyone so I quickly start jabbing and stabbing at the elf quickly cornering him near a tree where he decides to get aggresive and return the favor with flurry a blows. This goes on for several minutes until i get him backed up against a tree with my sword at his throat. I calmly say " Do you wish to apologize now?" The high elf reluctantly sighs and says " Yes i shall." The high elves then proceed to apologize the child and leave. Only the child and I remain so i take him back to his house after we collect some herbs and mushrooms. The child thanks me and his mother offers me some food before I leave but i generously deny and head back home.

2. Whilst wandering through the Elven forests you come across a frail old man with a walking stick. He collapses infront of you, falling to the ground with a sharp thud. Out of his pocket falls a small pouch of gold coins, which hits the ground and splits open spreading coins across the pathway. The man lies there, defenseless - what do you do?

Answer: I calmly walk up to the man and help him up from the ground. The man obviosly old and senile he then starts yelling " WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME, LET ME GO PLEASE, SOMEONE HELP ME I AM BEING MUGGED!" He continues to yell for several minutes until i am able to calm him and convince him that i am here to help him. The old man then cautiously walks away from me as I pick up his coins from the ground. The old man then proceeds to randomly say "You know son I really appreciate spending time with you expecially after you getting back from imprisonment."Obviosly mistaking me for his son who is in imprisoned or deceased I decide to be kind and say " No sir I am simply an elf exploring and happended to stumble upon you at the right time." The old man gives me a look of confusion and says " Haha that is a good one son you always try to fool me with your stories." It seems that I am going to have to play along so I reply "Yah dad now lets get back home I have alot to tell you." The old man then starts walking and says "Come on I will show you back to the house since it has been a while." I follow him to a town smaller than the one I grew up in and I overhear the townsfolk say "Oh man not again that is the second time this week that old man has brought home some man." Once we get inside the man's house he sits in a chair and proceeds to nod off to sleep. I walk back outside and ask a local if he will be okay. The local replies with " Yes I assure you that by the time he wakes up he wont remember a thing now go on home." I return back to my village thinking about that old man the rest of the day.

3. Whilst traversing the Elven Woodlands, you come across a small clearing in which a colored carriage sits. A trader stands outside of it and calls you over, telling you of his wares. He points out that his carriage sells just about everything, and that he's willing for you to haggle for a price. What does your character do? (Please include:- item, haggling for prices and the discussion involved).

Answer: I walk up to the merchant ask "May I look through your wares?" The merchant replies with a harty "Sure just dont try and make off with any of my goods." As i search i notice several miniature granite statues that fit in the palm of ones hand. Although neat they are not what i need. So i continue looking through the carrige full of a variety of items. After 10 minutes of searching I find a box that has inside an outfit. This outfit was bright green with yellow stripes on the jacket. The pants are a the same bright green as the jacket but the pants are a solid color. I ask the merchant "How much do you want for this outfit. The merchant replied " Il sell that to you for 42 minas." Knowing that the merchant is willing to haggle I reply "How about 30 minas?"  The merchant ponders this offer for a minute and replies " I dont know you dont come by something like that very often." I then start to think about ways i can get a good deal on this outfit so I remeber the miniature statues and say " Ok, How about the outfit and a miniature statue for 67 minas." The merchant this time thinks hard for about 10 minutes. After this time the merchant reluctantly says " Alright then, have a good day." I proceed to take the outfit and statue and give him his 67 minas.

Hello! After reading through your application, I've decided to deny it for the following reasons:

 

• Although you've included some lore in your biography, I believe you should expand on it. You have only described part of his childhood and how he got a trinket.
• Slight powergaming in your second Open Response Question, you'd not be able to take on two High Elves at once.

 

Overall, I think you'll get your application accepted next time!
