Feldkirch Summer Festival

 

*Upon walking through the the settlement of Feldkirch one may notice the apparent fairgrounds that have seemingly sprung up in front of Shadowcastle, from where there were once woods. Many go about their day to day routines, yet it is apparent a few are preparing for a festive event.*

 

*Posters have been placed around the Oren Capital, and Salvus.*

 

"The peasantry and nobility of the Oren Empire are invited to the settlement of Feldkirch, to attend a festival hosted by the gracious Grand Privy Seal Marquis Godwein Stafyr III and organized by Angelika Geminine and Daniel of Feldkirch. We will have an assortment of activities and events planned for the festivities, and invite others to suggest activities they would like to do. If desired we will try to provide booths for any merchants wishing to peddle their wares. To have an activity planned, or to have a booth set up contact Angelika Geminine by post. We hope you will all come and celebrate the season and life itself with us."

Thursday, the 4th

 

Game Rules

 

Gambling is permitted on any of the events outcomes, and there will be tables for cards/dice.

 

The Mountain Race: Three or more people will attempt to reach the finish line before the rest, the winner may receive a prize if we have prizes left to distribute. Racers MAY run each other off the mountain, OR throw each other off the mountain. However no swords or other weapons will be permitted.

 

Shoot and Scoot: Choose one of three lines to throw from, each farther from the target then the last. Pelt the evil pumpkin man with eggs! If you hit three times you win a prize, depending on which line you throw from. While throwing you may not change lines, or step off the line.

 

Dice: Each player has one six sided die, the person with the highest roll wins. In event of a tie, roll again. No prizes will be offered here, but players may bet a desired amount of minas if agreed upon by a majority of players.

 

Apple Bobbing: Players will have their hands tied behind their backs, as they attempt to pick an apple out of a basin of water with their mouth. No prizes are offered for this event, but players may keep the apple.

 

The Squid Hunt: Towards the end of the festival everyone will head to the sea, those who can swim may go hunting for the many squid within. The person with the most ink sacs when the finish is called is the winner. When STOP is yelled all players must immediately return to land to count the sacs.

 

Archers Challenge: Once Shoot and Scoot is over the field will be turned into an archery range. BYOB, Bring Your Own Bows & Arrows.

 

Duel Ring: We will try to set up a small area for people to test their might against one another. Training swords will be provided.
