Broken Minecraft?

Every once and a while my minecraft will freak out and all the textures go away and there is diamond armor in the walls and the item textures/icons in my inventory change (iron sword looks like a turned piece of rails).

Also I do not seem to have a texture pack button/folder in the launcher. Could this be the reson of the other problem happening?

Anyone else having this problem or know a way to fix it? Any help pr feedback would be much appreciated.

The Texture Pack option moved to the option menu, click that on your MC startup screen or after pressing esc in-game and you'll see it off to the side. You also might be using an outdated texture pack if you're textures are derping that much.

It is not texture pack issue as I am using default. Thanks for the tip on texture packs location though.

Hrm, sometimes a similar thing happens to me when I switch from a high-res texture pack to a lower one. It always fixes when I restart Minecraft, though.
