However, as the guild is for peasants, most of whom are illiterate, this turned out to be somewhat ineffective. The word is soon spread by the more reliable method of town criers and tavern drunkards.

The guild is formed with one purpose in mind: to gather geniune peasants so that rich noblemen and merchants looking for peasant workers can find peasants with ease. Our aim is to make the life of a peasant a workable one, so that the backbone of our society is not driven to live on that ghastly island just east of the Cloudwater Bay.

Joining the Guild
If you are a peasant and looking for work in the lands of Anthos, then join the Peasant's Guild today! There is no cost to you, however, you may only join if you qualify:

• You are not a member of a noble family.
• Your conduct is common and peasantly.
• You are clad in the clothes of peasant.
• The only weapon with which you have any skill is a farming implement.
• You are a peasant.

Nobles, swordsmen and magi need not apply.

If you ever break the entrance requirements of the Peasant's Guild, you shall be cast out and your employer is in all rights to strip you of your job so that a more peasantly peasant may take it.
