In alkhazar today there was a manshouting about how he and his brothers would soon come, how they'd destory oren and the king. Me being a loyal citizen of oren stood up to the man and told him to stand down. He would not eventually he was placed under arrest and me and some guards escorted him to the prison.

After some more death threats from him me and Guard William decided we couldn't risk setting him free and so came to the conclusion that the only solution was to execute him.

We walked him through into the chamber and stood him on the trap door. When i asked him if he had and last words, he replied: "DEATH TO OREN AND ALL OF YOU. YOU SHALL BURN, IN THE NAME OF IBLEES YOU SHALL BURN". I then pulled the lever...

He didnt struggle as much as i'd first anticipated and was quickly gone. What i need to know is did we do the right thing? He appeared undead, he talked of revolution and treason. And then mentioned the dark lords name when threatening us. It was the right thing to do wasnt it? He would've been a larger threat if we'd let him return to his masters surely?

I believe that the man got the justice he deserved. However, I also believe you shouldn't of had any business with it. Your services to Aegis are very much appreciated, but it is the guards jobs to deal with prisoners and it should always be that way. You are a citizen, yes? Correct me if I'm wrong. It is very kind of you that you wish to aid the great city of Al Khazar. Here is my word: if you wish to help, try volunteering in more constructive things. The city is constantly expanding and I'm sure you can serve the human nation in other ways like helping with construction or gathering supplies.

i am just a regular citizen yes but the guards these days aren't as good as they used to be. There were no superior guards around to deal with it and when william and another guard went to take the prisoner to the jail they got completely lost and had no idea where to go, so i had to lead them there. I think the standard of protection for the city needs to be improved a lot.

Then you can try to improve it. If you want to help, try becoming a guard. With the knowledge you claim to have, you will be able to rise through the ranks. Once you are high enough rank, you will be a leader. As a leader you will be able to help the Oren Guard in the right direction.

OOc well not much we can do we can not kill them so they just ignore us a lot also we have great lack of disapline (i suck at spelling) and lack of pay (i was never once paid)

Since they are not trained, they have no knowledge.

Since they are not paid, they have no motivation.

Since they are ignored, they ignore your safety.

Why are they not paid? Look at the King's personal Keep. It is because he would rather add a new tower to bolster his own safety than keep the rest of Oren safe.
