IC Information

RP Name (This includes your character’s prefix):

Si’Korra

Character Sub-race:

Kha’Tigrasi

Character appearance (Including age and gender):

Si’Korra is a tall, strong Tigrasi, blond hair cascading over  her ears and down the back of her neck. She has a black spot of fur just below her left eye in the appearance of a birthmark similar to apes. Her stripes are less defined than a normal Tigrasi, more of a darker orange than the deep black that typically shows. Around her neck she wears a golden circlet with a gem of lapis lazuli at the very front. In a similar fashion to her species, she’s quite strong, a muscly, robust girl, but just because she is strong does not mean she cannot be beautiful, which she will try to show quite often. Her claws are a pearly white color, sharp to a point and always ready to be used should she just flex her fingers. She has thirty-one years of age behind her, making her thirty-two.

What is the personality of your character like?:

Si’Korra is a nurturing sort of figure; very confident in herself. She’s generously kind to most people, but has a fierce protecting nature towards her fellow Kharajyr, and admiration towards Metztli. Although she tolerates and will even be outright friendly towards some apes, do not mistake that for liking. She would as soon slaughter an elf as she would feed him. She is also quite the fighter, never opposed to a good brawl with anyone, be they male or female. Don’t expect her to go down easy.

Biography (If you are applying as a kitten, please only state the name of your parents/siblings)

Korra was born to fight. A pure bred Tigrasi, both of her parents were the same species as her, and their parents before them, creating a noble lineage for her, and no traits from her familial subraces slipping in. Her mother was a smith, and her father a warrior, thus her inclinations towards both. As she grew, she learned from her mother how to care for the forge, and from her father, how to tend to wield the weapons her mother crafted.

As she grew, the idea was ingrained into her that apes were not like Kharajyr. Apes were less than her. However, while her parents did not believe the apes were as good as the Kharajyr, they did teach her to respect them to a degree. Apes had many victories and many advancements which were to be admired, and stolen if possible. Other than that, they were not Kha’, so they were not worth anything.

On her first trip to the ape mainland, she had her first glimpse of her desire for thievery. An elf was walking by, and Korra admired the jewels the woman carried with her in her bag. She simply flicked a paw out and grabbed one. Oddly, the woman didn’t seem to notice, not until she had walked up the street a little ways and Korra heard the scream. The Tigrasi escaped without a mark on her.

When she became an adult was her first time she went to the mainland alone, a part of her trials. She adventured out, having been told to find a way into a house that was locked without harming anything on the outside, stealing what was on the inside, and then she could make whatever destruction she desired. Of course, being a Tigrasi, the first would be the hard part. Having asked her mother for a bit of help, the woman pressed a couple pieces of metal into her paws, and Korra looked at them. Lockpicks. Eventually, through much trial and error, she’d learned to use them, and after stealing the valuables inside of the house, she set fire to it. As a result, she learned the enjoyment of destruction, of thievery, and of lockpicking. As an adult, she doesn’t even use her own key to her home, she unlocks it with lockpicks most of the time, although she does have a key stashed just in case.

Korra had no qualms with killing apes, or capturing them to take them for sacrifice. Her first time was simple: a dark elf wandering the road was bashed about the head, rendered unconscious, and brought to the war alter. Korra removed his heart, then burned his body, scattering the ashes. After the sacrifice was complete, she was left with the heart. She herself had never been told what to do with it, so instead of burning it, she cooked it. She figured that it was meat, after all, and it wasn’t as if apes were anything other than animals. She found it didn’t taste all that bad. As a result, on occasion, she would ‘cannibalize’ some of the apes, although she personally preferred to toss the bodies into the volcano. She would consume hearts more than any other organ.

Eventually, after many sacrifices, something touched her interest. It was a side mention by one of the apes, speaking on how they noticed that her ears were atop her head, then theirs were on the side. She started to study those she captured, learning about their anatomies by dissection (which was messy, but she got the hang of it… after five or so ruined corpses), and she found herself quite curious as to it. She still made regular sacrifices, but kept some alive for study. Ape behavior testing. She enjoyed the killing, finding ways to do it that might be bizarre to most; possibly placing a thin blade against their ear and pressing it deeper and deeper until eventually it couldn’t go any farther, then hitting it with the flat of another blade.

Nearing thirty-two years of age now, she’s recently become interested in the slave trade. Although she’s yet to break a slave, nor buy one, she may very well get into the process soon enough.

Character’s ambitions within the Kharajyr:

Si’Korra aspires to be a warrior, and blacksmith. She wants to not only be able to craft weapons, but to use them, for a blade is only as good as the paw on the hilt. Her build makes her more partial towards physical labor than most of the other subraces, which for her, being a Kharajyr, includes fighting.

Character’s strengths/weaknesses:

Although she is quite strong physically, she’s not built to sit still for long periods of time. She occasionally gets a little twitch, or has to shift around slightly, due to battle instincts slipping into everyday life.

Situational Roleplay Questions
1. You are heading home from a successful hunting trip when a group of three heavily armoured humans jump out from behind a tree and start demanding the surrender of your catch over to them. Each man has a sword drawn and they are gradually pacing towards you...

How does your character react?

Si’Korra pads along the road from Malinor to the Karakatuan boat, having crossed the city after hunting. She flexed her paws out and checked her claws, before cleaning a little bit of blood off of one of them, not bothering to question where it had come from. Out of the corner of her eyes, she spotted a group emerging from the trees, and they were heading towards her. Instantly she was alert, shifting her game bag up onto her shoulder as she growled slightly, and she heard a shout, “Here kitty! Time to pass over some of that catch!” one of the men calls.Korra sniffs at the air, detecting the stench of Oren. Humans. She hated humans.

Shifting her catch again, she moved a paw to her side, gripping the dagger that was there and pulling it out. She had only brought that along because she wasn’t expecting confrontation, and she had hunted with her claws and teeth. Those might do the job here, but the large amount of armor worried her. She stirred back and forth a little as she watched them approach, calling out in response, “Nu, Si’Korra cawt fayur awnd square.”

The men simply laugh and draw their blades, coming closer. Korra’s eyes trace over each of them in turn, before she slides the dagger away. “Ukee… butta yu haff tu cawtch Korra furst,” she calls, and drops to all fours. She bolted off into the forest, taking them by surprise and therefore getting a lead. She may not be very fast, as she is a Tigrasi, but she’s far faster than many humans, and especially those in heavy armor. She could hear the shouts fading behind her as she skidded onto the docks, and jumped onto the boat, “Lessa gu!” she calls, and the Kharajyr captaining it nods, before they set off for home.

2. You arrive at the temple of Metztli only to see one of your closest friends stealing the sacred blue gems from the altar, a most unholy act for a Kharajyr.

How does your character react?

Korra made her way through the jungle of Karakatua towards the temple, intending to have a morning prayer for luck on her hunt. She smiles as she sees the heads of some of the Gy’waka turn, and a mass of Vena’vi buzz past her, nearly engulfed in the cloud. When they cleared, she found herself looking at the steps of the temple, and a Kharajyr ten steps up, frozen in place. She knew this Kha’, his name was S’Azazuul; a close friend of hers. She smiled and raised her paw to greet him, before spotting what he held in his paws. Blue jewels, the cut and make of which could only be from the temple. Her paw froze and lowered, and she snarled quietly, “Azazuul, wutta yus theenk yu du’wang?” she calls to him, a condemning look already in her eyes.

The Kharajyr, a Pantera, had frozen where he stood when he spotted Korra, and he hadn’t even thought to hide the jewels. He had a certain lankiness and look about him that implied that he was usually up to no good, and right now it was definitely true. He swallowed slowly, “Uhh… sa’vi Korra…”he says, and her lip twitches. “Issa… nuthawng,” he adds, tucking the crystal in his bag! Korra snarled again, “Awnd wuuld thawt be tru iffen Korra wassa Tlatlanni, urra Aelkos?” she asks, her eyes narrowed at him.

The Pantera gulped, and Korra growled again. Slowly, he pulled the crystal back out, and bent to set it on the steps. Korra relaxed a little bit, walking up to lift it from the steps and walk back up the stairs. She didn’t acknowledge the cowardly Pantera as she did so, and placed the stone back where it belonged. Of course, her loyalty to Metztli came before her loyalty to cowards, or even friends. She told one of the Aelkos of what had happened, and later that day, she heard tell of a sacrifice to come.

3. You are in the Cloud Temple when a stout, angry little dwarf begins yelling highly racist terms towards you at the top of his lungs. Although unarmed, the dwarf continues to yell after he makes eye contact with you.

How does your character react?

Korra groans as she sits up, on the steps of the temple. She wasn’t quite sure what had happened, the last thing she remembered washeading out on a hunting trip… she sighs, looking around. She figured it must have been another blackout, she heard that everyone all over Anthos had them on occasion. Sighing, she shifted to her feet, only to be nearly blown back over when a rock whizzed past her head.

“Oi! Kitteh! Meh heard yah nearleh gaht yer whity kitteh killed bah dem pointeh-ears! Harharhar, go geh dah mouseh, kitteh!” he jades. Korra raises her lip, stalking down the steps as she glares at him. He continues to laugh and ridicule her, and, while she might have made do if he was insulting her, he wouldn’t insult her Tlatlanni. She approached, and he seemed to realize he was a good two and a half feet shorter than her.

With a growl, she slashed out with her claws, and made contact with his arm as he tried to pull away. She smirked lightly, seeing blood on the pale white blades attached to her paws, and turned to the right to walk off towards the beach, ignoring the howls and hisses of insults behind her this time, “Iffen yus effawr eensult Tlatlanni ageen, Si’Korra weel reep yus hawrawteek tung awt.”

4. Fire has broken out over the jungle city and you can hear the screaming of two Kha’ nearby. As you go investigate, you notice that one of your friends and the Tlatlanni’s white-furred child have gotten themselves trapped in opposite ends of a burning building. The roof creaks above you, if you were to get involved, you would only have time to save one before the building collapsed.

How does your character react?

Si’Korra races through the jungle of Karakatua, helping to put out fires wherever she can. She mainly hauls water to assist the smaller Kharajyr. As she was making another route back and forth to the ocean, she heard screaming, young and terrified. She quickly sprinted towards the source to find a building on fire, and from the sound of it, two Kharajyr inside. She sniffed at the air, before her eyes widened and she saw white fur peeking out from one end of the building. She started towards it, before hearing a shout at the other end. She could see a Cheetrah in there, her friend in fact.

Biting her lip, she looked back and forth, before running inside. She couldn’t let the Tlatlanni’s child die, not when she could have prevented it. She burst into the flaming room and scooped up the child, Vyallu, before slamming against the window with all her might. Her and the heat shattered it, and she hit the ground with the cub, rolling, as fire burst out of the window and the building collapsed, silencing the other screams. She bit her lip as tears welled up in her eyes, and she wiped them away, before tending to the cub.

An interesting character. But nowhere near as epic as Ja'Sahra. Have fun!
