Definitions

In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any
definitions from elsewhere!:

Role-playing: Fictional characters working together to have a
fun experience.

Meta-gaming: Cheating by using your in game character with your
out of game character, e.g. knowing a location of a chest out of character, you
cannot go to this chest while in character.

Power-emoting: This is the abuse of role playing
basically stopping the other person from being able to do anything back to him.
E.g. *chops off John's head and throws it in a ditch*. That would be power
emoting.

In-Character Information:

Complete the following biography on your character:

Full Name: Okio Torrin

Current Age: 38

Sub-race (if any): Northerner.

Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long):  I don't remember much from my Childhood. I
lived down by the shore and used to sit on the sea wall and watch the ships come
in. I lived in Alras, the great Trade Nation. My father was a shop keeper, he
used to work down on the docks, trading with the vessels that came in from the
great sea that stretched out from the Alrasian docks. I used to have a job at
my father's store, working down at the dock and unloading the crates from the
ships and running them up to my father's store. I remember one of the Captains
of the vessels used to tell me stories of beyond Alras, and so began my yearn
for a life outside the walls.

My first job was as a soldier. I signed up during the War with Salvus. I remember
the sheer excitement as we boarded Syrio's Beard to go to war. This was before
i had ever involved in any form of combat, and knew little of war other than
the training provided by my commanders. As we boarded the beaches I got my first
real sense of war. If I could turn back the time I would have taken up my father's
store and never looked back, but this is the path I have chosen, and it is the
path I will follow until the end of my days.

Ambitions for the Future: My ambition is to be a very
skilled blacksmith, best of the trade. I don't have very much experience but
I'll be learning all the way f or it. I plan to be one of the best blacksmiths
in the land. I want to work by quality, not quantity.

Personality: Although growing up with a
brother double my size and beating me up half the time when I ate the last
slice of bread! I am quite a calm, helpful fellow. I try treat others with
respect and dignity just as I expect them to treat me... but when I am in the
face of the enemy, I know it's either me or them that's going to be killed.

Skills: Coordination, balance,
agility, accuracy, eye sight, tactics, planning.

Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): Quite
small in stature but still strong, well groomed beard, clothes are not too
expensive, but they aren't the worst quality.

Open-Response-Questions

Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph
which must describe the
event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point.
____

1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily
making his way towards the
Emperors palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting
distance
 - what do you do?

Answer: I would find grounds to hide,
like a market stall or a barrel, any place to remain hidden. I would throw the
rock at one of the guards, not to harm him but to attract his attention. I
couldn't risk telling the guards as they may have not cared as there's no
evidence to prove him of suspicion. When I throw the rock I would make
sure that it was at the right angle so that the dark character could be seen
and could be accountable for arrested or to be imprisoned. The guard would then
sieze the character doing whatever he was going to do, and I would say to the
guards that I saw him try get into the Emperor's palace, they would
without a doubt hold him with suspicion of doing sneaking into the palace as
the guards would already be on my side. This way the dark clothed figure would
be out of danger from the Emperor.

2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man
armed
with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening
him
. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react?

Answer: I would first act as a thieve
coming to rob the armed bandits' possessions - without actually taking
anything. This would make the bandits angry and aggravate them. While
having their attention I would insult them and call them names then laugh to
make them feel furious with anger. I would run the opposite direction of the
cottage while they chased me, hide behind a tree and as they try run past I
would trip the first bandit up. While he's on the floor I will try stab him in
the chest with my sword. Hopefully I will have the element of surprise and I
can accurately stab him so that he passes out. While the other bandit is
hopefully still on the floor or getting up I will kick him back while he
attempts to climb to his feet and I will pick up a rock and smash it against
his head to knock him out cold. While these 2 bandits are knocked out - for now
- I will try get back to the old man to see if he's ok. If the man is ok I will
then flee and hope that the bandits are afraid when they wake up to leave the
forest and not bother the old man again.

3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing
behind a colourful stall
. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general
goods
 - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens).

Answer: First I would try to be kind
to the man, see what kind of guy he is and see if I can buy into being friends
with him or at least for now until I get the goods. I will choose something I
need but able to live without, you could say, a luxury. I would ask how much
one of his finest pair of leather boots cost and try to convince this man that
I'm in a bad situation and on a voyage to find my brother as he has run away
seeking assylum. I would convince him I need these long
lasting comfortable boots to help find my brother who could be anywhere in
the land. Once this man perhaps has some sympathy I would ask him for the price
after general conversation. Hopefully he would like my personality enough and
understand my situation that I could buy the boots for a decent price.

The bio could be more detailed, but that can be developed in roleplay. Good work.
