Role-playing: Role-playing is immersing oneself into the specific role of a character. Taking on their characteristics, emotions, skills etc. to fully portray a role. 

 

Meta-gaming: Using of OCC (Out of Character) knowledge in character or RP. For example, I if I acquired knowledge of a gathering among members while OCC and I then used that knowledge to turn up at this gathering as if I knew that it was going to take place. This is wrong because my character did  not gain such knowledge in game.

 

Power-emoting: Forcing an emote that is over powered onto another player,making it very difficult or even impossible when attempting to counter attack. For example, *Helv unsheathes his sharpened blade and fiercely swings it slicing off everyone's head with incredible ease

Full Name: Helvetica Mercury

Current Age: 23

Sub-race (if any): Northener

Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): Helvetica grew up in a small, out of the way settlement near Feldkirch, a settlement which was almost entirely built by his ancestors. Helvetica's father, Olafe was a carriage driver and his mother Korahliah, was a blacksmith. Their little village often provided weapons and artillery to the bigger settlements and castles in the near by surroundings. When Valynard was 17, he and his father took off into the wilderness to drop of a shipment of swords and shields for a wealthy Elven household in the East. While in Malinor, Helv and his father resided at an inn for a few days, where Helvetica befriended a Elven girl named Auriel. Auriel later encouraged Helvetica into smoking herbs. They both discovered a strange purple flower growing beside a stream and picked its petals and experiment with it

          They both got instantly high, above and beyond high. They hallucinated and heard talking everywhere and they eventually both passed out. Helvetica regained consciousness at the Inn hours later and was greeted by a jester standing beside him. The jester was explaining what happened during the hours Helv was unconsciousness, little did he know that the jester was never even there. Whatever Auriel gave Helvetica surely changed him. And so he lived for 5 years, imagining a jester at his side every waking second of his existence.He would talk to it, fight with it, dance with it as if he was actually there.The jester influenced his thoughts and decisions molding him into one himself, corrupting his sanity bit by bit

           He currently lives in Feldkirch working as a jester amusing the locals. Being quite young, Helv isn't entirely sure of what he should do with his life. The army seems interesting to him but the jester isn't to happy about that...maybe one day.

 

     

 

 

 

Ambitions for the Future: Helvetica wants to join a clan and to probably further his skills there,maybe even making his own someday.

 

Personality: Helvetica is hysterical and is considered to be insane to almost everyone he meets. He laughs and cackles randomly and is quickly excited at the sight of action. He never really thinks of what he is saying or doing which sometimes gets poor Helvy into unwanted situations. 

 

Skills: Being quite young, he is not fully accomplished at fighting or building. He tells funny jokes though.

Any other details you wish to share about your character: Helvetica enjoys speaking of himself in the third person. He finds it gladdening.

1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do?

 

Answer: Helvetica spots the man and knows that he should act before something wrong occurs. Helvetica ponders facing the man himself but he is quickly rebuked by the jester who states 'Blood on the new shirt is might scare away business ,Helv.'He agrees. Helvetica then holds his hands up to his lips, cuffs them and shouts loudly to the guards.'Oi! That man over there seems suspicious!'The guard notices the man making his way to the palace and quickly dashes to him and confronts him. They remove his cloak and realized that he was a burglar attempting to steal. He was apprehended by the guards as Helvetica turned around and made his way back to the tavern.

 

 

2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armor and an iron longsword, how do you react?

 

Answer: Helvetica unsheathes his iron longsword immediately preparing himself for the worst. He slowly and stealthily makes his way from out of the bushes he was hiding in and creeps his way behind the thugs. With the element of stealth on his side, Helvetica raises his sword and strongly bashes the pommel into one of the bandit's head, throwing him to his knees screaming in agony. The 2nd bandit raises his sword and charges, our blades clash as Helvetica is pushed to the ground. I swing my blade cutting his ankle and I hopped back on my feet and held the sword fixed at his throat. I resisted the jester's urges to slice his throat there and then and kicked hthe bandit to his knees and bashed his head into the cobblestone wall, bloodying it. As I turned around, the 1st bandit springs on me punching me repeatedly with his iron gloves. The old man quickly took his small blade and jabbed it into his back of his head causing him to fall off of me. I got up and stood in front of the old man, protecting him and pushed my blade upward and viciously threatened the bandits. They both got up fully and cowardly dashed into the forests. The old man thanked me and gave me his small blade as I made my way off ever more determined to advance my skills in combat.

 

 

3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens).

 

Answer: Realizing that he was probably able to get something of for very cheap, Helvetica points out to him a pair of red gloves reasoning that it would look so cool on the jester. The jester examines it and agrees 

"So...how much for these find gloves here?" Asked Helvetica

"Ahh...got those gloves in the South...there handcrafted y'know...about 30?" Answered the merchant 

"What?! I can get one of these at the market for 15! "Answered Helevtica

"Err...25? Answered the merchant

"15! Its already slightly torn!" Answered Helevtica

"Fine!! 20 and it yours?" Answered the merchant

"Fine..." Replied Helvetica

Helvetica places the 20 minas in on the wooden table and snatches the gloves. He strolls off somewhat annoyed.

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to deny this-

 

Although your character is a good idea, you need to go into more detail. Explain more about how this "Jester" got imbedded through your characters head other than some random unnamed plant. Your character has a lot of potential, but I think the plant was just a easy way around a better storyline.

 

(( Note: You would need an accepting villain application in order for this "Jester" to influence your character to do anything incriminating. ))

 

I suggest re-vamping your biography a lot to explain your characters motives and purposes.
