Definitions

In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!:

Role-playing:

Role-playing is taking the embodiment of a fictional and made-up character in a fictional world while living in a fictional life. In all seriousness, Role-playing is basically what it states, playing a role. Taking on a character, living a life, and partaking in adventures and fun activities all while slowly becoming a vampire in real life.

Meta-gaming:

Meta-gaming is the action of illegally learning OOC (out of character) information, and then using it to your advantage IC (In character). For example, if someone says out of character that you best friend is the thief leader, and then using that information in character to kill your friend.

Power-emoting:

Power-emoting is the action/emote of giving yourself an unfair advantage over the other player/opponent in a battle or other situation where there is a chance to be "more powerful". Let's say you're in a standoff between two players, you and your opponent. You say: *Joe shmoe pulls out a .22 magnum and shoots his opponent in the face. That would be power-gaming.

Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long):

They say that you are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream. That was my livelihood growing up, to keep going, to pursue the joy, and happiness that embodies adventure from head to toe. "Doth begone!" I heard everyday, ringing and pounding through my head as I ran through the Salvus market square, "Filthy maggot!" was another one, scratching every last one of my nerves, as a retired to my abode just outside the city walls. Mother would always bring me hot bread to quell my angers, as that was the only thing that we had that was good to eat. We were a poor family, alas, we managed to fulfill ourselves with the growing market and diminishing "supply and demand" reference. Thou could get one piece of bread for 1 mina! Every day we would live our lives as such, and soon to come was the greatest investment and sacrifice that has happened thus far.

During the middle ages of my childhood, I had traveled far and wide to seek an occupation for music. The dwarves of Kal'Azgoth, the Orcs of San'Orka, the Elves of Leumalin, and the Humans of Oren. I had traveled to all the lands except of mine own, and I hadn't realized that it would be easiest in Oren to purse my occupation. The dwarves have a very untidy and rubbish way of incorporating music into their lives, all drunk from head to toe. The elves are very quiet, very solitary, and I don't think that they would appreciate a loud orchestral set. And the orcs sent me out as soon as I came in, so it pushed me back for a while.

From then I was at a loss. I had no money, no food, no shelter, and no hope.
I had participated in many seasonal events and activities such as The Great Hunt, and the Festival of Spring, but nothing seemed to fit my personality or interests. I even tried to talk with the Brathmordakin, to see if religious entities would tell me of my interests, but that hardly worked at all. So I had decided to go back to my hometown of Salvus, and talk with the commoners, to see what they had in store for me.

I am now older, wiser, and most of all, stronger. My current profession so far as a gatherer, won't do. I currently pursue a job in the humongous city of Abresi, the capital of Oren. A maginificent city, fantastic culture, beautiful architecture, and friendly people. One thing I absolutely love is the pursuit of music, and especially the Violin. My father and mother were both musicians, and I want to take up on that offer, and maybe even become the orchestra manager or conducter of my very own symphony! One day that will take place, but until then, I am like every other commoner, waiting for that one moment to strike and take action. The realm of Anthos will learn to appreciate music in every way possible...

Ambitions for the Future:

In many ways can I help myself and others in the future. Some of my ambitions

Personality:

I'd say I'm quite the risk-taker. I loathe denizens who take no pride in their ability to go forth and take life by the throat. I'm also very strong, however I get frustrated very easily. I cannot stand people who dislike the taste in music. Music is a conversation, an argument, if I may. My musical talents are
everything to me.

I like to dress as a normal person, but I like to do take part in regal events, activities, and parties. I one day want to play in front of the emporer, but that will have to wait someday. I am a well-rounded person, strong in many tactics, and skills, but my one downfall is my sucception to anger, frustration, and easy downfall. When something doesn't go my way, I tend to get very, very angry. That mostly doesn't happen, but when it does, you might want to step back a few paces.

Open-Response-Questions

Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point.
____

1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperors palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do?

Alysius walks up to one of the by-standing guards. He looks faintly at the figure, and whispers in the guard's ear: "Looks like we've got a little problem on our hands". The guard looks at Alysius and says, "I'm not the one to fight, I'm just here to protect the tower." Alysius steps aside a little, to see the quarrel between the guards and the shady figure. He shouts something, and a giant fireball blasts from his hand. Alysius notices that he is a destructionist, specializing in fire, and chaos. Alysius takes out his bow, and starts walking over, but the guard stops him. "Why doth stop me?" Alysius shouts, but the guard states "This is not your battle. Besides, The guards will probably take him out anyway." Alysius stops and stares, "The death of those who helped are your fault, guard." Alysius walks away, and out of the side of his eye, he sees the figure overrun by tens of guards, but sees just as many fallen bodies.

Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react?

Finding the sword useful, he goes up to the threatening bandits, who seem to be quarreling with an old man. Although very shy, and non-confrontational, Alysius finds to be especially helpful today. He’s also been particularly fond of the sword, its beautiful double-edged steel gleamed in the glistening sunlight. He saunters over to the two guards, stands with all his might, and asks “Who art thou”? They turn around, and to Alysius’ surprise, the two “bandits” were just teenagers, in their 16-17s looking for some food. "Why art thou looking as bandits?" They drop their swords and meekly say, "Sir, we just wanted food, our mothers are really hungry!" Alysius sighs, and notices that the boys are very skinny, and look very poor. He takes out his rucksack and says "You know, I used to be just like thou. My mother and I were very poor, after my father left us. Here are 5 loaves of warm pan-seared bread. Please, just don't cause any more trouble." By now the boys are teary-eyed, probably because it has been the most bread they've seen in weeks. They run off, shouting and cheering, just so eager to tell their parents. "Art thou okay, kind sir?" The old man stands up and croaks, "Aye, but I understand why they did that." He brushes off the dust from his shoulders and asks, "By the way, can I have some bread too?"

You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens).

"Mmm, bread." Alysius remembers the smell from long ago, and enjoys it to this day. He remembers his mother telling him stories about ages ago, in a place called "Aegis", there was once a city called Al'Khazar. Al'Khazar had been known from fresh bread, and King Enor, who also loved the bread. Alysius walked up to the merchant looking at all the supplies he had to sell. "Ah warm bread, smells nice eh?" The merchant smiles to Alysius, "Aye, 'tis a shame that prices are so high now." Alysius looks puzzled. He questions the offer, than says "What's the price for loaves of bread then?" The merchant says happily, "20 minas per." Alysius spits out his drink, then says loudly "That's not right, I'll give you 5." The merchant then spits HIS drink, and loudly says "15." "5". "15". "5". "15"."5". "15". This went on for a couple of minutes, until Alysius scoffed and said "I shall begone. Thou cannot sell bread at this price!" Alysius walks off, disgusted at the merchant.
