Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!:Role-playing: Acting out a role of your character realistically per the bounds determined by the canon lore provided.Meta-gaming: Utilizing OOC knowledge as knowledge that is your character's own, like knowing someone's name before asking it, or reading someone else's lore on the forums and utilizing that knowledge for your character's benefit.Power-emoting: Power-emoting is when someone overrides another's choice, by dictating their actions by your RP without giving them chance to make their own response. A good example of this would be, "Aeto stabs Joe through the ear with his dagger and instantly kills him." In-Character Information:Complete the following biography on your character:Full Name: Aeto TsojennCurrent Age: 26Sub-race (if any): Human SouthernerPast / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long): Aeto's parents were peasant farmers in service of the Lord Blackmont. At a young age, he took up a scythe and helped his family earn money during harvest season, finding the physical exertion to be somewhat enjoyable. He lived the relatively normal life of a peasant farmer's boy, until his father died of disease when Aetos was aged 25, and his mother died later in that same year, victim of the same plague. Without anything tying him to the land, no family, no attachments, Aeto went in search of a new home. He took only his father's scythe, a sack of poorly baked bread, and a wineskin with watered wine. Along the road, he was ambushed by two bandits. In his desperation, he struck out with his scythe, and cut the first bandit across the chest. Ribbons of blood poured from his body, and the bandit fell to the ground in dying convulsions. When he turned to fight the second bandit, he saw that he'd fled. Deciding to don the fallen bandit's leather armor and take his curved iron shortsword for protection, he began upon the road again. He learned from a flyer pinned to a tree along the road that House Blackmont was recruiting footmen for their guard force. After a fortnight's journey, he arrived at the Dreadfort of House Blackmont. After bribing a guard with the bandit's sword as a gift, he was let into the fort, where he applied for the guard force and was taken in as an Unblooded footman of the Dreadfort ((permission for rank this granted by Zezimus/Lord Lucius Blackmont)). Ambitions for the Future: Aeto looks to rise within the ranks of the guard and the house, overcome his origins in a peasant family, and make a name for himself. A few sacks of minas wouldn't be a bad goal either.Personality: Aeto is quiet, pragmatic, ambitious, and opportunistic. He's not prone to emotional outbursts, preferring to function as efficiently as possible. He's logical, and is of sound mind. Skills: He can wield a scythe to cut down stalks of grain, some of that familiarity with a blade may carry over to swordsmanship, a skill he looks to learn from the swordsmen of the Dreadfort. He can barely read, knowing what he does from being sent to the market to sell grain, and learning from the signs and notices there. He can also grind grain into bread, travel the roads safely, and manage finances, all things he learned growing up.Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): He looks like a simple Southerner, with black hair and eyes and darker skin. His hair is kept cut above his eyes for practicality, and he wears the same undyed simple tunic and trousers, not owning anything else.Open-Response-QuestionsEach question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point. ____1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do?Answer: I see a dark-clothed figured sneaking towards the palace, but I don't want to attract attention to myself either. I wouldn't benefit at all by telling the guards, and it's not like I care about any of the rich folk in the palace anyways. If I tell the guards, it's unlikely that they'll reward me, and will probably take the credit for themselves. I turn around and walk the other way.2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react?Answer: I see two bandits threatening an old man in front of his house in the woods. Not wanting to risk my own life, I hurry away from the bandits, reminding myself not to live in a small and unprotected cobble house in the middle of the woods.3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens). Answer: ((Assuming I'm allowed to supply responses and actions for the merchant)) Curious, I ask him about what clothes he has available. "Sir, anything I can wear in there?" "Ahhh, the Southerner wants to look sharp! Have I got the thing for you!" *He pulls out a wooden trunk, opening it to reveal luxurious garments.* "Oh, not that sort, anything a bit more practical?" *Disappointed at the loss of a big sale, the merchant pulls out simpler clothes.* "What's your price for those?" *The merchant names a price far outside Aetos's comfort zone. Deciding that he shouldn't be spending money on things he doesn't actually need, he says,* "Actually, never mind," *Aeto leaves the stall.*
