A Matter Of Duty

  Malog -- ever the contemplative one -- sat atop the wall of the Braduk fort late one night, watching sand blow across the dunes of the Orcish Badlands. It reminded him of when he was a cub. He remembered the long days of training with his father in the desert. He remembered the late nights he would spend by the fire, while his father would teach him the lessons that have guided him into adulthood. He remembered the promise he made to one day teach the story of his father to his own cubs. It had been thirty-six years since his father died, and he still hadn't passed on those lessons or the story. He realized what he must do as his duty to his father, and to his clan. He decided he would seek out a mate. He decided he would raise up cubs who sought after wisdom, honor and strength, and who hated the humans as bitterly as he did. The challenge, however, would be in actually finding a mate. He hadn't seen a female in quite some time, but he was determined. He went down to his tent, and crafted a necklace from the string and bones he'd been storing up lately. He put it in a small pouch hanging from his belt, and did what he knew best. Which is to say, he wandered the badlands in search for a female to bear his cubs.

  (( I was recently told that it would be good for the Braduk clan's numbers for my character to have cubs, and it sounded like a good idea. I was a little uncertain about making a forum post about this, but I really couldn't think of any other way that Malog would be able to find a mate. I've never done parenting rp before, but I assume one actually needs to find a mate in rp. Supposing this actually gets my character a mate, I guess I'll obviously need someone to rp the cub. But, for now, I just need someone to acknowledge herself as the mother.))
