Help With Teamspeak!

I'm running into a bit of a predicament.

Firstly, I can't seem to be able to talk on TS anymore. Note that I never used teamspeak for a month at least and I rarely change my settings. At first Push to Talk was working when I returned, but not anymore.(Even if it did, I still couldn't speak.) I know my mic settings were right, it's that something went wrong.

I could talk on skype fine, my mic is working. And my input settings on teamspeak matches my mic settings in other areas, in fact, it was my default setting when I used TS.

I'd like a walk through on how to solve this issue, as I'm not a big TS guru(Hence why it's hard to explain things in detail)

Tried it. Not working.

Hrmm, have you restarted your computer? What HAVE you done, so people don't tell you to do the things you already have done.

Ran TS as an admin, changed my mic settings. Changed my PTT hotkey, and even went to the wizard, which in fact caused TS to not respond to PTT

And I'll restart my computer to see some results.

Well, I know nothing about TS so I did some googling, I found a couple of people with similar problems to you, here is what I came up with-

Change apb to window mode

Disable voip settings, with some mic drivers settings override each other

You've got to run both APB and TS as administration.

MIC: Go to the menu bar and click Self then Capture Profile and set it to default.
SOUND: Go to the menu bar again and click Self then Playback Profile and set it to default.

1. Un-Mute "Mic" in sound menu
2. Reinstal Drivers
3. Try a different microphone
4. Try a different soundcard
5. When you reinstall windows you also need to reinstall the MB and sound card drivers. If you did not the Mic may not be supported.
6. Also make sure DX9 is installed and the latest version.
7. go into the Master volume panel and make sure Mic and waveform are unchecked (on) and volume sliders are all set about 2/3 of the way up.

It is probably the recording settings set to Stereo Mix or Mono Mix instead of Mic which would send what was is coming through the speakers rather then the mic. Changing the recording input to Mic should fix it.
Running the MSN Setup audio device does exactly that. Just in case you guys were wondering what the issue was.

Any of these help?

I just ran into something on TS. Stereo mix was never enabled until I tried it. That's the only card that was working on TS, not integrated microphone array, or External mic.(I use a laptop with built in mic)

Tell me what APB means?

I'm 99% sure, after using my googles, that APB is a game, and Skyyo has gotten confuzzled.

When you're on Teamspeak locate ''settings'' and then click ''options''. Along the left hand side you will see various things that you can select, click ''capture''. You will then see ''begin test'', click that and then speak into your microphone, you will know if Teamspeak is picking up sound from an input if the bar fluctuates. Please reply with the result of that test.

That's the first thing I tried, and it doesn't work. It doesn't detect anything.

I'll try reinstalling Teamspeak but before I do. I recently updated it, does that make a difference?

It may, I have no clue. It shouldn't but, computers are silly.

In the bottom right hand corner along your taskbar you will see various icrons such as the time, right click on your ''speaker'' icon. You will the see ''recording devices'' which you will click on. You may see multiple microphones, right click on all microphones and disable them all with the exception of the one you use. Right click on the one you use and set it as defualt device. Right click on the one you use and click ''properties'', go to the ''levels'' tab and put it up to 100.

When in the ''capture'' settings of teamspeak have your ''capture mode'' set to ''Automatically use best mode'' and have your ''capture device'' set to your headset. Then begin a test on teamspeak to see if it is picking up sound.
