Character Sub-race: Kha Panthera

Character appearance (Including age and gender):
Male. 16 years old and slightly small for his age. Chibueze is
mostly black but has white spots on his stomach and around his arms,
but more grey-ish there. Chibueze's green eyes are very apparent because
of the contrast with the black fur however.

What is the personality of your character like?:
Chibueze is still unable to speak all that well, in that content he is
underdeveloped, so he's still learning. Chibueze will use his natural
Kha Panthera abilities to catch people off guard with his stealthy
movements and prefers doing things at night. Chibueze is very curious
and this may make him do things that other khas in the sense that he
still thinks the apes inferior but he might study them because of his
curiosity.

Biography (If you are applying as a kitten, please only state the name of your parents/siblings)[/b]

 

Chibueze
was a normal kitten, but he grew slightly slowly, developing at a rate
slower than the other kittens, especially in speech, where he didn't
learn to say some broken sentences until he was about 10. Chibueze's
parents were also curious, so it was there he got it from. They
therefore joined another three Kha's who were close friends of
Chibueze's parents and went on a small expedition to the main land. The
other three mainly went because they wanted to see what kind of food
they had there. Chibueze was originally not allowed to come, but he
snoke into the boat at night. He was not going to miss something like
this.

 

Once arrived at mainland, his father was very angry
at Chibueze for disobeying his and Chibueze's mom's will, but it soon
faded when they saw some of the things at mainland. The buildings were
weird and the apes weirder. The three Khas looking for food ate anything
that looked eatable, wanting to bring back something good to give to
Metztli. The group travelled together at all times, setting up camps
along the road and roasting fish they had brought. Chibueze wasn't
allowed to walk very far from the camp though, and therefore, one night
he snoke off, wanting to explore for himself. He walked around a hill
and arrived upon a tavern with some big green apes talking. Chibueze hid
in a bush by a nearby river and listened to the orcs. They were talking
about how they were hungry and would eat anything that wasn't orc right
now. Terrified, Chibueze, backed off and found his father behind him.

 

He was carried back to the camp and the mood on the way back to the island was silent. Chibueze's parents were ashamed. Not once had he gone against their will, but twice. The relationship in the family was never really the same. His father and mother talked less to him, and they seemed to have lost complete trust in him, the hole left in their hearts replaced with shame. His father took longer hunting trips, only teaching him when he was in a very good mood. He also became more reckless and hunted for bigger and more dangerous beings than what he should have. The result was fatal. As a 13 year old, Chibueze saw his dad's body carried by the other hunters, marks of massive bird claws covered by rags. This was a turning point as great as the journey to the ape land. His mother was crushed, distant and not responsive and he was mourning as well, but he hadn't known him as well. The next two years were slow and painful at home as he had to provide the family now, his, mother not able to do any work. Chibueze spent most the time outside, in the jungle, mainly hunting to feed him and his mum, but also to prepare for the trials. He started to like to hunt and quickly discovered that he was more succesful using the treats he had as a Kha Panthera. He hunted during the  night because his fur hid him, and he hunted alone, treading carefully through the night making less noise that way.

 

Then came the trials. Chibueze passed all of them fairly well but was surprised to discover that when he finished the Metztli trial, he found his mother dead. Her concern had been too great. She knew that if Chibueze had failed, the consequences would be disastrous. She wouldn't want to lose him as well, that would mean she would have starved to death, or died of grief. This thought together with the loss of her husband int he back of her head was too much, she had a heart attack and died on the spot. Chibueze spent the much of his time just thinking and grieving, but at last decided he had to man up. The past was the past and he couldn't change it. He should focus on his future, on what he loves, hunting and he brightened up, deciding to start on a blank sheet, new page.

Chibueze wants to become a hunter, because he likes sneaking around in
the dark, finding the future food caught off guard. He also likes the
satisfaction of feeding himself, as it helps him feel independent.

[b]Character’s strengths/weaknesses:[/b] Very stealthy and can go unseen at night but is sometimes too curious and is not all that good at talking.

[b]Situational Roleplay Questions
1. You are heading home from a successful hunting trip when a group of three heavily armoured humans jump out from behind a tree and start demanding the surrender of your catch over to them. Each man has a sword drawn and they are gradually pacing towards you...

How does your character react?[/b]

Terrified,
Chibueze says "F-feesh fehr Chibueze. Feesh not fehr aypes!" The men,
laughing respond "I don't think so, little cat!" not knowing what to do,
Chibueze's eyes dart around, looking for an escape route. Suddenly, his
fear takes over and he darts away, the men in armor in pursuit, but
slowed down by the heavy armor. Chibueze ducks into a little dark hole,
his fur camouflaging him and waits until the men are done looking for
him. Chibueze then returns home to eat his fish before it becomes foul.

[b]2. You arrive at the temple of Metztli only to see one of your closest friends stealing the sacred blue gems from the altar, a most unholy act for a Kharajyr.

How does your character react?[/b]

 

Chibueze
tilts his head, confused. "Frihnd. Stuhp." The friend sees Chibueze and
responds "Vhi?" greedily looking at the gems. "Huly." Chibueze
responds, meaning that the temple is holy and no bad should be done
there. "Dey arh minne!" the friend exclaims as he extracts his claws.
The friend is a better fighter and Chibueze is starting to back off,
intimidated. "Leeveh. Nuw." The friend says before he stands up on his
back legs to seem bigger. Scared and hurt with the greediness of his
friend, Chibueze runs off, a tear rolling down from his green eyes.

[b]3. You are in the Cloud Temple when a stout, angry little dwarf begins yelling highly racist terms towards you at the top of his lungs. Although unarmed, the dwarf continues to yell after he makes eye contact with you.

How does your character react?[/b]

 

"Stuhp."
Chibueze says "Nut trueh. Metztli greht." The dwarf laughs continuing
to blabber heresy. Chibueze is angry. The man has insulted the religion
of the Khas, probably what they set highest and he must pay. Chibueze
approaches the man that seems slightly intoxicated. He stops about 1 and
a half meter from the man, showing off his teeth and snarling. Chibueze
gives the man a last warning "Stuhp." but the man doesn't listen, so
Chibueze jumps at him, clawing at any part of the body exposed. The man
gets a hold of Chebueze and throws him into the water. Chebueze is
soaked and gets out to see the man with what will become scars along his
forehead and arms. He is in rage and Chebueze darts off to avoid him,
thinking he deserved it.

[b]4. Fire has broken out over the jungle city and you can hear the screaming of two Kha’ nearby. As you go investigate, you notice that one of your friends and the Tlatlanni’s white-furred child have gotten themselves trapped in opposite ends of a burning building. The roof creaks above you, if you were to get involved, you would only have time to save one before the building collapsed.

How does your character react?[/b]

 

Chibueze
tilts his head at the sight of both people trapped, his head has never
had to make such a big decision before and it takes time for it to
decide on what to do.However, Chibueze doesn't wait for the mind to
decide, he simply races to the Tlatlanni's child as it is closer, grasps
it in it's fur and drags it back, about to dive right back in, not
thinking of the fact that the building is about to collapse. As he
approaches the building however, a loud moan from the wood giving away
can be heard and Chibueze stops in his tracks, his curiosity telling him
to stop and wait to see what happens. The building the collapses right
infront of Chibueze, who terrified backs off only to have his head take
control again and make him realize his friend is dead.
