Out-Of-Character Information
Please fill out the following questions as accurately as possible, and ensure the essential details are accurate.

Minecraft Account Name: KibagoKid
How old are you?: 19 years of age
Time-Zone: Eastern Standard Time
Have you read, understood and agreed to the rules?: Yes
What previous experience have you had in role-playing?: I ran my own role-playing forum on fanfiction.net for 2 years. It has since gone silent, but when it was active things went smoothly. Before that I was restricted to vocal role-playing with my younger sister for hours on end, an activity which I persist in to this day. We mostly do anime-related role-play with semi-unique characters created with aspects of the world in question implemented.
How did you hear about the the Lord of the Craft?: I was searching for a new server to relax on and have fun with people that wouldn't stab me through the face outright and it appeared on the list. The name intrigued me.
Link any applications that you have previously made for the server: n/a
Have you posted this application on the Minecraft Forum? If not, then please do so (link above):
Have you read the Elven lore, and shall you ensure you make use of it and follow it in your biography?: Yes

Definitions
In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!:

Role-playing: The act of placing yourself into the mindset of a character (preferably self-made) and playing out scenes and scenarios.
Meta-gaming: Allowing things that have nothing to do with the game itself affect your characters actions, i.e. you reading something in real life that your character would not have access to or making them say something they would know nothing about.
Power-emoting: God-modding your characters (i.e. the kind of character that nobody likes. The character that seems Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu because it is hyper powerful and can do no wrong.) Power-emoting would be like going into a fight that has already been determined to end in your favor whether the other person thinks that's fair or not.

In-Character Information:
Complete the following biography on your character:

Full Name: Vulathri Sulirrin
Current Age: 245 years old
Sub-race (if any): Dark Elf
Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long):
Born in Laurelin, his parents fell ill to black-spot plague when he was very young. Before the infection could pass to him, he was taken to a family of Wood elves a safe distance from the suffering city. Caring for him as their own, they called him Vulathri after he caught a serpent by the tail and used its fangs to make his first dagger.

While growing up, he learned many things of elvish life. He was able to pick up a few words of the ancient language, including the meaning of his own name. When he wasn't studying everything the wood elves could teach him, he was out with his foster father learning to hunt and carve a living off the land. When he finally reached 23 years of age, the couple that took him in chose to tell him what happened to his real parents. It was then also that they chose to tell him that his surrogate mother was with child, and they could no longer afford to care for him. They packed him a sack of food and supplies, along with a small pouch of coin, and sent him off on his own.

After wandering aimlessly for three years, he was caught by a group of dwarvish bandits. Seeing his size and strength as a possible tool, they gave him the option of joining them for a bit of protection. If he refused, they threatened to kill him. Young and naive, he conceded and joined the troupe, following the orders of their leader. Quicker than expected, he rose through their ranks until he was by the leader's side as his first mate. But the actions he had to take to help his new "family" weighed on him heavily, and one night whilst the others slept, he packed his things and ran off.

By the time he was forty-five, he began to grow restless, and tired of being in the same area all the time. He longed for a change of scenery. So, he began the long trek back to Laurelin, a journey that took him five years to complete. Having returned to his birthplace on his fiftieth birthday, he stowed away in one of the many ships leaving the Elvish capital for Asulon.

Upon reaching their destination, Vulathri stole off the ship and began looking for work in the growing town they docked in. Through questioning some of the guards, he was able to discover the new town was to be called Elandriel, and would be a great city when it was finished. Seizing the opportunity, he set off into the wilderness to explore the new world. He discovered the only people in the area he was in were Elvish, or at least partly so. He found work as a lumberjack, and made plenty of money doing so. Enough that he was able to buy himself a horse-a black stallion he named Hiylu-and really get some exploring done. Once he'd saved up enough coin, he left his job and began traveling Asulon to see the beauties of the new world. His first stop was with the dwarves, where he spent fifteen years learning their crafts and trades-metallurgy, how far to dig down if you want certain ores, and how best to keep tunnels from collapsing. When he was satisfied from his dwarvish teachings, he moved on to the humans. Around the same time he arrived at the human's homeland to begin learning, his horse fell ill and died. After mourning the loss of his only friend, he learned how to work the land and get the most out of your surroundings, as well as how to play a mandolin. By the time he returned to Elandriel with his findings, he was close to his one hundred twenty-fifth birthday. By then, the land had begun to behave strangely. The animals that were once plentiful began to hide and run from densely populated areas they once had no qualm with. The air almost seemed forbiddingly dense.

It started out small. A tremor would knock someone's painting off the wall, or a strong breeze would snap someone's wheat crop in twain. From there it began to escalate to troubling heights. By the time the Elves realized what was happening, the world was racked with one natural disaster after another, mountains cracking with the force of the earthquakes, entire towns being washed away by floods. Vulathri was on his way back from a lumberjacking trip when he got caught in a massive quake that sent him sprawling, the only thing stopping him from falling into a crevice being one of the logs he carried over his shoulder. Slowly he got back up and made the decision to flee to a new land; one that was more stable.

It was then that he boarded the boat for Elysium, where he hoped he could make a new living using some of the things he'd learned from traveling through Asulon. Unfortunately, his past came back to haunt him, and he ran into the descendants of the very troupe of dwarves he ran into in Aegis. It seemed that their fathers passed the tale of a dark elf named Vulathri down to their children, and they held a deep-set grudge against him. Through them he found that the very night he ran off, a rival band of thieves invaded the camp at the hours he was supposedly keeping watch and made off with most of their supplies, as well as killing the better half of their group. It was not until the leader sent for Vulathri that they discovered his absence. Blind with rage, he vowed that one day, he or his kin would rid the world of the dark elf that ran away. He sought the assistance of every tribe of bandits and every dark heart-ed creature he could run into in the quest for the Clever Serpent's head. With every bandit that dwarf ran into after his throat, he had to fight for his life on a regular basis. Traveling from town to town became a hassle. He eventually settled down near the peak of one of the many mountains of Elysium, descending only to speak to the local townsfolk of current events.

Days began to blur as time went on, but before long it was time to seek out a more peaceful place of residence. It was then that Vulathri boarded a boat for the third time, this time to head for a newly-discovered land: Anthos.

Ambitions for the Future: Vulathri wants to find a place where he can be with his own kind, as well as make a living with the skills he learned from the dwarvish people.
Personality: He's a very quiet elf, preferring to let his actions do the talking for him. When he does speak, he's sly as a fox and silver-tongued, using those traits to his advantage. Despite this, he's no crook, and understands the value and importance of all things in the world.
What he lacks in hand-to-hand skills, he makes up for in work ethic. He's the type of elf that can spend hours on end lumberjacking or mining without getting bored. He's adventurous and curious, taking any chance he can to stop and take a look around.
Skills: Exceptional vision in the dark, basic hand-to-hand combat skills, and survival skills
Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): Ashen gray skin, cold blue hair, and magenta eyes. Vulathri wears a dark red tunic and tights, as well as a red cap and tall brown leather boots. On his arms he wears dark gray bracers and brown fingerless gloves. Open-Response-Questions
Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point.
____

1. As you walk through the deep forests you hear the sound of whispering and snickering. Upon inspection you realize that a group of older elves are mocking a small elven child. How do you react?

Answer: I stride up with confidence before stepping between them and the child and shaking my head. When they react with disdain, I narrow my eyes and clench my teeth. “We are an old but infertile race. Do you really think it wise to torture an elvish child when they are so rare to begin with? It is a blessed event when an elf-child is born. You may be older than he, but you have much to learn of respect.” I then comfort the child with a warm hug.

2. Whilst wandering through the Elven forests you come across a frail old man with a walking stick. He collapses in front of you, falling to the ground with a sharp thud. Out of his pocket falls a small pouch of gold coins, which hits the ground and splits open spreading coins across the pathway. The man lies there, defenseless - what do you do?

Answer: I collect up the coins and gather them in a small pile. I then remove the coins from my own pouch and pour his coins into my pouch, pocketing most of my own coin. I admit, a couple of my coins got mixed in with his and I left them there. Once they are in my pouch, I help the man to his feet and hand him the pouch filled with his coins, supporting his weight on my shoulders. I keep the split pouch to repair later and put my own coins into, but now I need to help this man to the nearest rest stop so that he may regain his strength. I stay with him until he does, then help him to his destination.

3. Whilst traversing the Elven Woodlands, you come across a small clearing in which a colored carriage sits. A trader stands outside of it and calls you over, telling you of his wares. He points out that his carriage sells just about everything, and that he's willing for you to haggle for a price. What does your character do? (Please include:- item, haggling for prices and the discussion involved).

Answer: “Hey! I have wares for sale if I may borrow some of your time!” Upon hearing the foreign voice, I walk toward it to find the owner. The trader is of dwarven descent, and many of the wares on display seem to be tools. Hanging from a hook near the back of his display is a diamond pick that shimmers with a strange power.
“What can you tell me about that diamond pick?” I ask, pointing to the tool in question.
With a smile, he brings it forward for inspection. “Ah yes, this is an enchanted diamond pick. Whoever wields this pick is blessed with bountiful ores and minerals. If you break a diamond ore with it, the ore will likely grant you more than the single diamond any other pick would fetch.”
My eyes widen at the prospect. “Interesting. And you say you're willing to haggle a decent price?”
“Of course. Now, my starting price would be thirty gold pieces.”
“Thirty? My good sir, I can get six diamonds for that price. With that I could make a diamond pick and my own enchantment table, and still have a diamond to spare. That hardly seems fair, even with the enchantment. Fifteen.”
“Don't be so sure, young man. Fortune picks are hard to come by. I can't take less than twenty-seven.”
I smirk on the inside, knowing he's coming closer to my side of the court. “Be reasonable, sir. If it were less likely to break while mining, I could see such a price, but fortune is something I can wait for. Eighteen pieces.”
“You say that now, but when you come up short on diamonds, it hurts. Be a shame if you made yourself your own pick and then ended up mining just short of the number of diamonds needed to create a full set of armor. For a sharp-minded individual such as yourself, I'll go down to twenty-five.”
“I must say you drive a hard bargain,” I concede, making eye contact with the trader. “However, I have little money on me. I haven't got the price you ask. These woods are rather empty right now. I'm not sure if you'll be able to find anyone else for quite some time. What do you say to meeting me halfway? I'll give you twenty-one gold pieces for the pickaxe.”
The trader ponders this for a while before that old dwarvish curse gets the better of him. “Alright. Twenty-one pieces for the pickaxe.” I pour his payment out of my coin purse before walking away with my new pick.
