Song Druid 1486 Share Posted July 20, 2013 A grove lost, destroyed, in an instant by a dark power. It was a shattering blow of unthinkable loss, and as En'leawyn's leaves began to wilt, it appeared that the Aspects had forsaken the Order and its inhabitants. As some fell others fled, they took refuge near rivers and in encampments. They were scattered, broken. Then, the owl Whotin appeared, scroll bound to its feet. "The river forks in directions three, but one direction leads to history; follow this stream to ocean shore, where Haelun'or abhors. Bringing tent, chest and bed, for return not instead; You shall not wait long, listen for the Song" The riddle led the Druids to the shores of the great land of Haelun'or, where they waited, for days and many nights. Then, on the third day the alarms of Haelun'or did sound as from the waters rose a great beast, upon the maw of which rode the Song Druid, carrying the Wilting Staff in hand and singing loudly. "Rejoice, The Aspects have heard our voice! Let the dark ones feel our vengeance in time, The great wandering island they cannot deny." And the Druids did rejoice, the friend of their youth, Samuel the Turtle, had returned to them in their time of need, to travel Anthos and spread the verdure of Druidic Teaching. Thanks so much to Zarsies, Brandnewkitten, Cruz, TheFactCore, and Supremacyops for assisting and building this amazing new RP being! Also thanks to Alan and Freya for GMmy stuff. <3
Tethras 278 Share Posted July 21, 2013 Later that day you notice a small forest dwarf curled up upon the Turtles head. The young dwarf continues sleeping pleasantly as it snores. Completely at peace.
racingbrother 226 Share Posted July 21, 2013 The Hierophant sits quite contently between Samuel's neck and shell, whistling with the breeze, enjoying the crashing waves of the ocean, the chirping of seagulls, and the swift swimming of Samuel's fins. All is peaceful, the Druid is at solace. He peeks his eye open a bit towards Hael'unor, the blue and red tops of the city lingering lazily in the distance. His eyes continue down the coastline, catching the canopy of Malinor from where he once came. And almost instantly the Druid jumps to his feet, thoughts of fear beginning to litter his mind. He starts to mutter to himself as he jumps off of Samuel's head, swimming back to shore...
Birdwhisperer 1174 Share Posted July 21, 2013 In the night, after most of the excitement had died down, Elorna huddled against the tall birch at the center of the great turtle's back. A chill ocean breeze swept through the trees that adorned the shell, causing her to shiver. The wait on the shore had been long, and she felt too drained to try finding a warmer spot. Her small son slept deeply nearby, wrapped up in Elorna's coat. She watched him sadly, then looked away to gaze at the moon's reflection on the ocean. The night was quiet, save for the wind and the soft lapping of water against the turtle's fins; it should have been peaceful, but the last year had been too troubling for her to feel at peace. With a ragged sigh, she found a nook in the tree and settled into it, turning her back to the wind.
