Definitions

In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from
elsewhere!:

Role-playing: To take on the role of a character and preform actions based on
the characters personality. For Example if I was an elf, I’d speak differently.

Meta-gaming: Taking information from outside your characters realm of knowledge
and using it to your advantage. Example, I know this man filled out a villain
application IRL, so while in game I tell everyone he’s a villain.

Power-emoting: Forcing your actions onto another, for instance not letting them
have a say in RP you just go and kill or go and steal without them being able
to react. Example, I see someone and I just type in RP chat, Talathar shoots
such and such in the neck with an arrow.

In-Character Information:

Complete the following biography on your character:

Full Name: Talathar Farlick

Current Age: 19

Sub-race (if any): Half-Elf (If sub-races are not limited to the ones on the
wiki,)

Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long):

Talathar was cursed from a very young
age. And not with the typical short-life or turn into a frog curse, but this
curse was Longing, always wanting more. Talathar dreamed and hoped for
adventure during every second of everyday. He wanted nothing more than to fight
dragons, wield magic, do anything you can read about in books. Talathar lived
in Arethor, and always dreamt of reading in the library. While young Talathar
took archery courses after he was done doing his chores for his mother. He
became 5th in his class, but still practiced daily. Talathar also
had a couple of friends who shared his ambitions of adventure, and they fought
and played daily with wooden swords, and Talathar never came up short in these
battles. Talathar wasn’t allowed to leave his home for 2 days once, for he left
quick the hefty bruise on another boys back. Later in Talathar’s life he
finally learned to read, but not write. He went on his first trip to the
library around the age of 10. Talathar spent the next 3 years in the library
until he read ¼ of the entire selection of books there. At the age of 14
Talathar and his mother left the big city of Arethor and moved south to Ager, a
small village. He carried on practicing his marksmanship, and made more friends
to spare with. When Talathar turned 15 there was a tragedy… a dark colored fog
came down from the mountains surrounding Ager, and his mother became ill. His
mother was destined to die, and Talathar could rarely see her for the doctors
feared he’d become infected. In the moments before his mother’s death, Talathar
went to her and learned of his father. His father was an elf, and his father
left while he was young because he felt his duties as an elf were more
important.

Upon hearing this news Talathar left Ager. He
left his life in Ager and Arethor, only bringing the clothes on his back, some
money, and his bow and arrows. Talathar traveled for awhile, just wandering,
longing for something to happen. Eventually he bought a sword, and a real bow
and arrow with money he earned from working for different farms throughout the
region. When Talathar was 18 he came into the region of Malinor, an elven
kingdom. Without knowing Talathar wandered through it until he came to Elandriel, a colony of Wood elves. It was
currently being fought over. In a few seconds Talathar was knocked unconscious
by someone fighting. He blacked out and awoke a few days later in the care of
two elfs, an older one wearing white, and another, a younger elf that was however
many years old but it was equivalent to being 18 (Not 18 human years, but how
many elven years in equivalent to being 18.) Her name was Ilia, she became
Talathar’s Half-sister. A few days on traveling within the care of these elves
they came across a bandit team raiding travelers. They were surrounded and
about to be killed, until, Orcs came into play, they started fighting the
bandits. The old elf in white told Ilia and Talathar to Run, “GO! Take this
robe, and some gold, I’ll find you. Run!” Talathar took both coin purse and
robes and ran with Ilia, “I’ll find you! I promise!” The old elf kept yelling
his promise until they were out of sight. A large red glow emited from where
Ilia and Talathar were a few moments ago, and the sound of fire could be heard.
Talathar took the time to look at the robe, it was white and had blue markings.
He to this day, never takes it off. Talathar spent the rest of his time
traveling with Ilia, revisting places they’ve been to looking for the old white
elf. It Struck Talathar funny, that he never learned the elves name.

Ambitions for the Future: To Find A Home somewhere and make a
living by adventuring with his half-sister.

Personality: (If you follow D&D) Chaotic Neutral. He'll do anything to
survive. Most of the time he tries to end a situation without conflict.

Protect His Half-Sister. Hates Orcs, and Bandits.

Open-Response-Questions.

Each question in this section must be
answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe
theevent in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore
at any point.

____

1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed
figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperor’s
palace - he is clearly up
to no good. There are guards within shouting
distance - what do you do?

Answer:

Talathar
casually walks up the a guard and asks, “Excuse me, where can I find the
library?” the guard will reply, “Oh it’s just over there, see that spire?
That’s the building.” Talathar nods and says, “Thank you,” Dropping to a
whisper, “Quickly Listen, that man over there, in the dark robes, hooded? He’s
Obviously up to know good, I’d send one or two men after him.” Moving back to a
regular tone, “Well you have a nice day!” the guard will nod and say, “yes… yes
you too.” And walk off after the hooded man. Talathar walks towards the library
as planned but will take no part in the conflict with the dark-clothed man. If
There’s trouble in the Emperor’s palace, Talathar doesn’t wanna be around when
it happens.

2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across
a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled
cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a
small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed
bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are
armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you
react?

Answer:

I'd Frown
and watch from a concealed area. Knowing how bandits work I’d quickly and
quietly make my way up to one of them, since I’m behind one, I’d tap him on the
shoulder. As He turns around I’d put my sword to his face, “Please do surrender.”
I say, bandits being bandits, he parries my sword and lunges for me, I’d
sidestep and slash out at his chest. Since these bandits are heavily armed, I
merely scraped his armor, “Well. This is hardly fair don’t you think?” I say as
the bandits are closing in, “Why don’t we all sit down and think about this…
no? Alright, excuse me sir, could you deal with one?” The bandits stop and are
confused, then in a second of realization they start to turn, the one on the
left is too late, the old man plunged his sword through his back. I quickly run
and tackle the other bandit and then back track. Now one on one, I fight the
bandit. Eventually after much back and forth, I got under his sword and took
him in the ribs. I then clean my sword and sheath it, then proceed to loot the
bandits. Once looted, I’d throw half to the old man and nod, “Thank you!
They’ve been bothering me for weeks.” I nod and say, “Cheers.” And turn and
walk away.

3. You are standing within the mighty human
capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful
stall. You approach the stall and notice that the
man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that
he is selling just about anything and that he
has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to
haggleand choose
prices. What do you do? (Explain: your
haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens).

Answer:

I look over
his items and strike up a conversation, “How are you?” “Wonderful and you?” The
seller replies, I respond, “I’m alright thanks,” Picking up a sword and
inspecting it, “So what’s your view on the economy? Is It Treating you well?”
The seller replies with, “Well enough, I sell a few things daily so who’s to
complain?” I nod slowly inspecting another item he’s selling, “Yes quite right.
Had any big sales?” The seller responds, “Every now and then I sell something
that’s worth its weight in gold. Swords always sell nicely, and arrows.” I then
nod again, “I bet they do. Right Well speaking of which I’ll take half a quiver
of arrows.” The Seller nods and brings up X amount of arrows. Now, I know that
arrows and swords have been selling good. So their standard price of 30 minas
should be brought down to maybe around 22. I’ll offer, “How’s 24 minas sound?”
The Seller, “Sounds wonderful!” I’ll hand him the gold and take my arrows,
“Thank you kindly, I’ll be sure to visit whenever I need to stock up.” The
seller responds, “I’ll keep an eye out!” And I’ll be on my merry way satisfied
with my spendings.
