ooc: question about hiring mercs.

situation: a thief tries to steal your iron armor, is unsuccessful because a "law enforcement" official intervenes, but only to buy iron from this person.... anyways...you escape unscathed.. knowing this person tried to steal from you, are you allowed to pay someone to find him and kill him? my character is a wealthy goblin merchant that's how i would do it. how about find him and take him to a jail in a protected city of undisclosed name?:p just curious what a citizen can do about all these marauders roaming the streets when noone seems to be doing anything about it. I'll continue to look for info about villians and what they can do and what we can do about them. any info would be great even if it's not answering my questions. thank you! and have fun!

But the bounty system isn't up right now, is it? As far as I know, you can announce that you want someone hunted down, but you can't really unless you know their name.

((i just heard that writing a book with who you want killed/robbed back/etc. and giving it to the merc(villain) so they have evidence of their employment for you was a good idea and i agreed it was...any suggestions on this?))
