Definitions

What is roleplaying?: - Roleplaying is where you take the role of a character whose background and personality is created by you. You could be anything from a humble merchant to a glory seeking warrior as long as you stick as that role. 

What’s metagaming?: - Metagaming is when you use info recieved outside of character to benefit your character in game. 

What’s powergaming?: - Powergaming is roleplaying in such a way that you may do things that are immpossible to actual do.

Heres an example of what a powergamer might do.

This is powergaming because it wouldn't give the other player any time to play out the situation and react it basically making the powergamer invincible and this defeats the point of roleplaying.

In-Character Information

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

What race are they (and sub-race)?: - Dwarf-(Cave Dwarf)

What sex are they?: - Male

How old are they?: - 21 seasons (147 years)

Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family: - Gilnar was born and raised in the Dwarven hold Kal'Karrik with his mum dad. His mum ran the household she cooked cleaned and cared for Gilnar. His Dad worked in the mines and brought money in for the family by selling the picks and weapons he smithed with the ores he dug from the mine. When Gilnar was 16 his family died in a tragic cave in. He was just at the entrance to the mine working (He had the job of bringing picks to the mine for the miners to use) when all of a sudden the ground around him started shaking he could hear miners shouting in the mine and Gilnar's friends dad ran out of the mine and started having a conversation with one of the head miners at the entrance. The head miner shouted out that there had been a cave in and they had to evacuate as many miners as they could but sadly some miners will have got trapped down there, he said not to worry well start rescuing them as soon as possible. Gilnar and his mother waited nervously at the top of the mine along with many other families for the return of the miners. After what seemed like a year to Gilnar the line of miners came to an end and his father was no where to be seen. He began crying he ran back to the house. His mother was equally upset but she ran into the mine screaming for her husband the head miner tried to stop here but she was already far down the mine to catch up to she got to the bottom of the mine and started to throw bits of rubble and fallen stone out of the way in a hopeless attempt to reach her husband. The head miner reached the bottom of the mine only to see her grab a rock which caused even more of the mine to collapse killing her in the process. Gilnar hadn't even stopped crying for his dad when the head miner arrived on his doorstep and told him about his mum. He didnt cry he didnt feel sad anymore he felt dead inside hed lost the only family he had. He was adopted by one of the blacksmiths and worked there for a couple of years. Then one day one of the miners came in and asked him to repair his pickaxe and he thought to himself why am i doing this i should be mining its what my dad would've wanted me to do. He threw down his blacksmiths apron and headed off to the docks in search of a new land to adventure to. A place where he could put everything behind him start over he would train as a miner and become as good as he could.

What are they like (personality)?: - Hes a very lonely and ambitious person  

What are their ambitions?: - to become the best miner around

Do they have any special skills?: - mining and he also knows his way around the forge since he used to work there when he was younger.

 

What are their weaknesses?: - Gilnar has never had a real fight so he trys to avoid getting into them, say a bandit jumped him in the wilderness he would be able to do very little to defend himself.

Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: - he has a  brown beard wears brown mining clothes and always wears his silver helmet the very one his dad wore when he was alive.

Anything else you want to say about them?: - If anyone says anything bad about his family they'll see a side of this friendly person they would not like to see.
