Have you ever roleplayed before - if you have, how?: Yes, in relaxed and fairly vanilla servers I have role-played before, but never on this scale. Most of the time I spoke in a medieval manner and developed a personal story that others became a part of. 

 

Have you been on any other roleplaying servers?: Yes, but not very serious or strict ones. I cannot really remember their names, but as they were not that important i hope it doesn't matter.

How did you hear about us?: Reddit/r/mcservers

 

What do you think the server will be like?: I think it will be a massive and rich community with huge back story, but at the same time contain personal engagement. I hope that i will be able to find my place in the server that i can enjoy and contribute to the server.

 

Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Yes, they seem very appropriate.

 

What’s your favourite rule / the rule you agree with the most?: That powergaming, metagaming and exploiting is disallowed. These problems have always annoyed me when they are allowed on other servers.

 

What is roleplaying?: Acting and putting on a persona. Interacting with a wider participating community by incorporating lore into the actions and words of everyday gameplay.

What’s metagaming?: Playing the game in a manner which attempts to supersede the conventional rules of the game/server, thus bypassing the role-playing nature of the game.  I also think metagaming is using external information or tools in the game, which hinders the authenticity of the game.

[Revised] What’s powergaming?:  Playing the game in such a way that the roleplaying is compromised by unrealistic or inappropriate advantages, and using these advantages to dominate and annoy other players.

How old are they?: 18

 

Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family
(Include server lore when writing): Dink is a relatively poor Northerner farmer,
who has great ambitions for his future. He was orphaned as a child when his
parents were killed in a house fire. For all of his life he has lived on a
farm, in the area near Ager. Dink has grown to hate the farm he lives on, and
wants to leave the area and set out on his own. He believes that he will be
able to succeed in the big world, but knows he must start small.

 

What are they like (personality)?: Ambitious, cocky, relatively smart
and tenacious.

 

What are their ambitions?: To leave his home and become successful on
his own. He wants to be rich and powerful, and is determined to make it happen.

 

Do they have any special skills?: He is a novice builder, but he will
develop this skill into greatness.

 

What are their weaknesses?: He usually avoids magic and witchcraft, but
it is not a fatal weakness of his. He is a generally poor fighter, so usually he
will try to reason arguments out before violence.

 

Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: Dink
is young, brown/red hair, usually wears a green and brown outfit. He has blue
eyes, no facial hair and fair skin. He is a Northerner by blood.

 

Anything else you want to say about them?: Dink is a rogue type
character, but once he finds a place to call his own he will want to develop a
name for himself and build a noble residence.

This is a very good app. The only issue is that the powergaming definition isn't quite right. Look it up again and re-write that part. Remember to use your own words!
