Edict of

the Archbishop of Renatus

 

Clarifying the purpose of the Archbishop of Renatus.

Issued and confirmed by His Imperial Majesty the King of Renatus, Ostromir Sarkozic Carrion.

 

At the will of His Imperial Majesty the King of Renatus, Ostromir Sarkozic Carrion, The College of Bishops hereby request to appoint an Archbishop of the Kingdom of Renatus.

 

At the will of His Imperial Majesty the King of Renatus, Ostromir Sarkozic Carrion, the powers and duties of the Archbishop of the Kingdom of Renatus are enumerated herein.


 

Section I

Ecclesiastical Duties

 

i. The duty to efficiently administer the True Church of the Creator and all her members.

ii. The duty to play a role in the development of the Capital City of Renatus, Abresi.

iii. The duty to act as a judge in all matters regarding moral laws.

iv. The duty to act as head of the True Church of the Creator within the Kingdom of Renatus.

v. The duty to direct any and all affairs of the True Church of the Creator within the Kingdom of Renatus

 

Section II

Ecclesiastical Powers

 

i. The ability to hold and direct an Ecclesiastical court, outside of the Civil Court, in the Kindom of Renatus.

ii. The ability to appoint officials within the True Church of the Creator, in accordance with the Church’s Ecclesiastical needs.

iii. The ability to call a crusade on any and all sovereign states should they defy the Church’s moral rite, but does not have the ability to command nor raise the armies of the Kingdom without consent of the King.

iv. The ability to excommunicate people from the True Church of the Creator, banishing them from the lands of the Faith and severing them from the Mother Church. This has no effect on the person’s civil rights within the Kingdom, at the King’s discretion.

 

Section III

Appointment to Office

 

i. The office of the Archbishop of Renatus is appointed through election of the College of Bishops alone via majority vote.

ii. The office of the Archbishop of Renatus’ appointment cannot be influenced by anyone but the College of Bishops.

iii. The office of the Archbishop of Renatus is held until death, resignation is not possible.
