  1. Kael Leafman reads the recent news, a frown crossing his features. With a deep sigh, he sends to loved ones via aviary to ensure they are safe. "I don't seek violence, but if my family is threatened and my back is pinned to the walls of our City, I will be more vicious than our Ancestors ever could be, in the name of the Father, the Mother and the 3rd." It was at that moment, he decided he would travel to the Roots that began his beliefs in the Wild Faith. To seek out a llir of his and pay tribute to a particular Aspect who may come in handy in times of dire need.
  2. Kael Leafman looks over the missive, curiosity spiking as he read the name Caius Prisgoth. With a soft sigh escaping him, he set it down on his dining table. "Thalen was right...he is reckless...abusing Fey and now thievery? We'll see how this goes." He glanced to Elsiimah and Suliin as they ate dinner, looking for their thoughts.
  3. Kael Leafman stands at the gates, looking out stoically towards the roads that have been such danger to the people of Iryalen. With a sudden jolt, he is spun around for a quick moment, Suliin saying her goodbyes. Sharing a parting embrace, he is given her bow, dagger and arrows. With a fit of confusion, he tries to figure out what is happening but it all came in a blur. One moment, there, another gone. Worrying hours turn into days as he stands watch on the gates, more often than he usually has in the past. He opts to take a break, seeking out one of his closet friends and mentors, Arhiln of Caerme'onn. "But why would she leave her posessions with me and just...vanish?" I chime. "If she didn't intend on returning, she wouldn't have given you such important items." He retorts. After seeking out some reassurance, the man gently brought his hand up to his chest, closing his eyes and sending prayers of safety to the Aspects. A small indent where his heart was suggested he was clutching something unseen, masked by Arhiln's cloak and for those brief seconds, he knew she would return.
  4. Kael Leafman's Journal - Wayfarer of Iryalen (Scribed - Author is illiterate) A new beginning Entry 1 Today is the day I will no longer live in solitude. I have ventured the forest for many years, gathering knowledge and survival skills that can prove to be far more beneficial to a wider group of people. Today is the day I visit the Wood Elves of Iryalen and see where I place in the pecking order... Arriving at the Capital City, I was met by a man named Sailen. He showed me the various seeds I could join, taught me useful lessons and helped induct me in. I have nothing bad to say about this individual, they have proven to be one of the more trustworthy people I have met. Entry 2 Today is the day I get to prove myself. A bear hunt! Something I can do finally. I can't wait for this. **** I messed up. They all hate me, they think I am a liability. I rushed in and got hurt, others could have been killed for my stupidity. I've got to be better I nearly had my head taken off, luckily...just a scar. Let this scar be a reminder of how I need to be better every single day. Entry 3 Today I met three great people. The first, a man that I now look up to, Arhiln, has taken it upon himself to house me. The room is small but he insists it is temporary, it will do...I have to prove myself to the people by writing a journal with information about five locals, can't be that difficult. The second, a lady named Yra'lissa. She is a unique character, but always seems chatty and eager to help where needed. So far, Yra and I have gotten on well, even going out and sharing our knowledge on resources across the continent. This relationship seems to be professional, but she definitely has a soft spot for her own. Finally, Suliin'yuln. She seems lovely, knowledgeable, willing to teach me everything about the Nation and what to expect. I was taught about the Wild Faith, and how to honour the balance of all things. Different figures in the community were shown to me also, I like the Caerme'onn seed so far they have values I uphold well. Suliin seems very protective, the others do as well, but she is always so worried about other people I worry she forgets her own needs sometimes. Entry 4 Omentahu is happening today. I hope I can attend, I've heard great things of this gathering. Well, that took a turn. I was on my way to Omentahu as I was approached by everyone who I have come to care about. They got together and made me take my Oath right in front of the entire City. Apparently it was quite the honour so...I must not be hated after all. This is starting to feel like home, I am one of them. Entry 5 I've finally been given responsibility! At least...I took ownership of it. Resource gathering, something I can do to help. Today we got a group together and doubled our entire storage, I have to say things are looking up. A job, friends, a feel of community. This is everything I've ever wanted. Now, I just need to figure out the rest... (The top attached image is AI generated, it is not my art)
  5. Kael Leafman stumbles upon a passage in one of the books he chose from the sacred Library. The wood Elf pondered as he read the text thoroughly, noting the whispered existance of such a place. Was it real? How would he be granted permission to visit? Questions flood his mind as he takes on a heightened curiosity for the culture. "So many tales come from the Forest, who knows what is true or not?"

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Kael offers the hag a smile, sitting down and looking them over. "Quite the place you have here, eh? It's nice to finally settle in after a long trip...My story, well...My name is Kael Leafman, you may already know that. I come from a settlement of Wood Elves that have had their home destroyed by a band of ruthless Orcs. Fleeing, I had to run for days to escape them due to their uncanny ability to detect my scent and track me through the brush." Gesturing to his clothing that was tattered. "As you can see, the brambles were rather rough on me."
