  1. This family heirloom bears all of the names of the Ogaadeen, both familial and the adopted members. This heirloom is carried by the elder Luqmaan until his passing, then it will be passed down to the eldest of the family at the time of his death. This is the tradition of possessing the Looxa Xusuusta. Here lists the kin's names as of 3rd of the Deep Cold, 260 Second Age:
  2. One cousin slot filled, one adopted the culture and is part of the clan!

i remember it was big drama at the time, availer was ousted from the community for it, and that's why the wandering wizard is just gone now.

im less sure about the details with vaq specifically, but i remember he did some stuff he was ABSOLUTELY not supposed to and similarly removed.

  5. I absolutely enjoyed interfacing with Siegmund's candles when I played my Mihyastaani burgher in Haense last map. I had a hand in producing many of them for annabanana's queen (iirc?) and enjoyed the taboo as I played a very Machiavellian character then. I'll be honest, I am not in the in-crowd of "spooks" & "spookhunters" so you all have a better sense of the overall effects of such a tool than I would have understood playing my Hansetian-Persian **** Cheney weapons-manufacturer. I am not opposed generally to the changes you've requested, but I have one question and maybe it is a slip between mixing IC & OOC knowledge: The general mass of characters (not players, we have to be careful here) who either aren't alchemists or, if they were, likely don't know the recipe - wouldn't have known what it took to produce the candles. Is this a common mistake we are making expecting players to bleed their OOC knowledge into their characters? Isn't it expected that though we (the players, not the characters) may know about Siegmund's candles, we have to prevent metagaming through our characters that player-held knowledge? That very act of not metagaming likely explains why this taboo was mostly non-existent because most characters don't know about the candles even if the players playing them may know of them. I hope that makes sense and Im not trying to be snarky.

  16. As the title reads: If anyone is looking either to take a break from the grind of early server, wanting to have a relaxing alt character, or otherwise want to experience a new setting - the Ogaadeen subclan of the Qalasheen has open family roles of your choosing. You'd essentially play a character related to mine but I'll let you decide if you want to be a brother, sister, nephew, niece, or cuz. We are presently based in the Duchy of Kvasz, tied as the nearest active settlement to the Highland Pillar (the other active settlement is Valwyck). We are a subclan of the Qalasheen, an active Farfolkish Human population residing as member of the Empire of Man. We have been beset with demons and the Ogaadeen in particular has been helping build amenities and defenses while also writing contracts to supply books to the Treasury & other player-groups. Hit me up below, via Forum PM, or Discord if you'd like to join! Find our threads here:

The functional architecture allows for chickens to be bred, their eggs collected, with space enough in an outside pen for them to meander. The Qalasheen are welcome to take away any chickens kept outside the coop to slaughter or pluck for their feathers. The coop will also serve as a menagerie of wild fowl & birds such as peacocks in order to provide for writing quills for Luqmaan and any other Qalasheen who require quills for scribework.
